With so many wonderful places to choose from at WDW, Restaurant Akershus was, as usual, the only one that my husband and I visited twice on our last trip there. Every guidebook agrees with us: That Scandanavian buffet in the Norwegian pavilian of Epcot is, indeed, an outstanding value. While it is often less crowded than some other places, it has more and more happy customers every time we got there, thanks to the guidebooks and our own word of mouth.
But alas, it may be less outstanding all too soon. Our waiter told us that they are changing to a standard menu for the "hot board" leaving only the "cold booard" as an all you can eat salad bar. Yah, sure, we all love the cold salads and herring, but we always want the mashed rutabaga and other hot dishes, too. So write to the Norwegian pavilion, Michael Eisner, the royal house of Norway and our own Disney message boards, to tell them this is the worst disaster for Norway since the Viking invasions! Or at least it's the worst disaster for us!

Oh no, I was planning to take a Norwegian aunt to Restaurant Akershus for lunch during our WDW trip the first week of March. Did the waiter indicate when this unwelcome transformation is scheduled to take place?
Why are they changing something that is so good and unique. A standard menu? What is the logic here because I thought that it was less costly to set up a buffet?
