I have not been to the group for a few years now so I don't know what the rules are about appliances in the rooms or anything but I had to come share that I got a Ninja 3 in 1 cooking system after Christmas and I couldn't help but think of the people going to Disney :). This thing is no bigger than a Crockpot but you can use it as a stove top, a slow cooker or an oven. I would think this would be a great way to save money and have yummy hot food if this is allowed in your room. If you use the slow cooker feature, it changes to warm after the time is up if you don't turn it off and if you have it on oven and are not there when the time is up it shuts off so you don't have to worry about things burning. So far I have made cake and pizza and just about every meal we have eaten for the last 15 days including soups and tater tot casserole, mac and cheese, shrimp and fish. The only thing is that you are limited to what fits in a 6 quart pot because that is the size so you can't bake a full size cake. Cake in it was so extremely moist and yummy though! I know you can even make popcorn in it but I haven't yet. If you get a room with a kitchen are you allowed to have a Crockpot plugged in while you are away at the park and come back to your room with dinner all done and hot? It cost me 100 dollars so that is what they sell for but they have a new 4 in 1 out now too which is just a bit more money. I think if you are got this, you could probably save that much just on food at Disney and then you would also have it to use at home.

Well, the OP did ask:
"If you get a room with a kitchen are you allowed to have a Crockpot plugged in while you are away at the park and come back to your room with dinner all done and hot? "
TBH, I'm not sure whether you can or cannot use them in a unit with a full kitchen (like DVC), but I wonder why you would need one if you have a kitchen to use. Certainly it would be just as easy to cook in said kitchen without having to invest $100+ in an appliance that you would have to transport to Disney and back.

At the risk of being tarred and feathered - i would not see anything wrong with bringing a crock pot to Disney if you are staying where it is allowed - of course.

While I like my Ninja 3-in-1, I don't think I'd take a crockpot of any type to a Disney hotel...that's just me though. But, the Ninja is definitely more versatile than a regular crockpot.

OP, if you're on Facebook, look up the group Laurie's Ninja/Crockpot Kitchen. It's a really good group, with lots of recipe ideas not found in the Ninja cookbook.

The reason I would think you would want to use it even if you had a kitchen is because it is so convenient to be able to cook everything in just one pot so clean up is quick plus making most foods is quicker. I have one in my kitchen and I have not used my stovetop since I got it other than to boil water for tea. I am sure you would use it after disney too.

The thing is, what if something goes wrong with it? What if it shorts out and starts a fire for some strange reason? Using the appliances Disney provides, you wouldn't be held accountable. Using something you brought from home you would be.

I agree.

Add to that, the thing weighs in at almost 15 lbs, according to Amazon. I don't think that I would want to devote that much of my precious luggage space to a 15# appliance, no matter how versatile it is. But, to each their own. I would probably love one at home. I just don't think it's something that I would haul to Disney in order to save money on dinner.
