Save Figment and bring back original

I agree with the idea of a entirely new concept still showcasing Dreamfinder and Figment. Dreamfinder reminds me of Santa - easy going, pleasant, approachable and lets be honest the world could use more of that.

I'd be very sad to see Figment go - to me he's as much a part of WDW as Mickey.

But if the rumour is true I vote for Kathy to do a sponsored ride for GKTW on the last day it's open

I agree, the original Dream Finder and Figment can't be beat. I wish they would bring back the original, or a close remake (unlike the bombs they've done the last two times). Go Figment!

I really hope they bring back the old ride with Dreamfinder & Figment! When I went to Epcot on my trip last summer I was shocked to see the ride was very different then what I saw and became a fan of on YouTube. I still liked it cause of Figment but it just wasn't the same and Dr. Nigel Channing was annoying. I liked Dreamfinder better. I want the old ride back so I can see it in person darn it!!! If they can't bring the old one back to EPCOT Center then at least bring it to Disneyland CA since I'm not too far away from there!

I don't think there is much chance of the old version coming back as one of the main reasons they took that one out was because they often had problems with the turntables in the ride. Who know maybe they could come up with something really cool like have Phineas and Ferb find Dreamfinder and bring him back to the pavilion.

For what it's worth, when I asked CMs about the rumor of a Jan. 1 closing, they confirmed it's not happening. It's just a rumor.

In addition, Jim Hill media reports "don't worry folks, Figment isn't going anywhere."

But of course, who really knows? Only a privileged few.

Well the the thing is, I don't think Phineas and Ferb even fit there to begin with. And to be honest, technology has gotten so far nowadays. They could fix the turntable and not have the same problems it did before. With the technology we have today, the old technical problems could be fixed. That's why I say. Bring the original version back using all new modern technology so the ride doesn't break down so much. Simple as that.

I also think it is atrocious that in a country with run-away childhood obesity that the Wonders of Life pavilion is not a health and body focused pavilion .

one of the biggest problems in society today is everyone trying to fix everyone..............sometimes i feel like glueing MYOB on my forehead just to save some time...........i have always said "you paddle your canoe and i will paddle mine"..........................

I know I've mentioned this before but I'm gonna say it again! The current version of Journey Into Imagination With Figment is a total joke compared to the original version! I mean really?! The new one is so dark,short,and just really stupid! Also there's not as many things to look at either. Feels just like that dreadful second version but with Figment added in. The original one was so so so much better! Tons of things to look at! It was longer, very bright & colorful, and much higher quality! What the hell was Disney & Tom Fitzergerald (the creator of the second & current versions of the ride) thinking when they decided to change the whole pavilion?! They completely ruined it! Even Tony Baxter (the creator of the original), and Ron Schneider (original Dreamfinder & Figment walk around character actor) hate the new ride as well and want the original back! Disney Bring back the original one already! Every time I watch a video of the original or current one I always see tons of comments saying to bring back the old ride and how much the current one sucks! Please Disney, listen to us!

Okay I am fearful of this rumor.

I hope that they are returning to the original. I really do not want to bring Phineas and Ferb in there. (I enjoy Phineas and Ferb but no) I am trying not to panic until we get actual information.

I'm hoping that they are bringing Dreamfinder back and giving us a nice update of the original attraction because it was really great. The other incarnations not so much

If they take Figment out completely, I will be chaining myself to the building with Kathy.

Again trying not to panic until more info comes down the line. I can't see Disney kicking Figment to the curb completely.

Is it a theme park's job to address childhood obesity?

Should the Land Pavilion address government subsidized farming or the pros and cons of genetically altered crops?

Should the Imagination Pavilion address rampant drug use and offer a rehab facility?

And if they did......would anybody want to spend their leisure hours participating in this?

Wasn't the Wonders of Life Pavilion originally focused on healthy and body?

I can understand the discussion of Figment's fate, but to suggest burdening a theme park with a taking on a subject like this seems silly.

And on Figment...I can't see them getting rid of Figment completely. He is still a big moneymaker in plush.

I'm not a fan of Phineas and Ferb coming in ...but they are trying to introduce a new audience to the attraction. Phineas and Ferb should go in where Honey I shrunk the kids/ Captain Eo is.
