Are there any properties in Savannah, GA or Charleston, SC on the DVC list.
If so has anyone used them. Thanks.

I'm not aware of any timeshare properties in Savannah. There are 2 in Charleston, actually 3 if you count the yachts. None are on the DVC exchange list to my knowledge and I'm surprised. Of course HH is less than an hour from Savannah. There are places at Murrels Inlet and MB for SC as well. And I'm surprised that the two Charleston properties are not listed. Both are nice enough though not world class, and neither are so limited in availability to make it an issue. I would not hesitate to stay at either resort though I don't think I'd give up 160 to 270 DVC points needed for a 1 or 2 BR unless it were during prime time.

The two in Charleston are downtown Charleston and they are beautiful, right in the heart of the city. They are in walking distance of a lot of the tourist historical attractions. As already stated they are not part of DVC but one is part of RCI and the other is Interval. If you own another timeshare you can deposit a week and book a week somewhere else through these companies. I hope this helps.

Yes. The the DVC Concierge Collection includes:

Charleston Place
The perfect pairing of 18th-century style and 21st-century comfort in the historic South Carolina district.

Here are reviews at TripAdvisor.

Many of us think the Concierge Collection is not a great use of DVC points, but DVC members with enough points often write glowing descriptions of Concierge Collection properties.

Lodge Alley Inn (bluegreen) is dually affiliated with II and RCI. Church Street Inn and Charleston Cruise Club are festiva options. Of the 2, I think Lodge Alley is nicer and certainly has larger rooms though Church street seemed more friendly when we were there.

An interesting story about Charleston Place. The way it was told to me was the city wanted to build a luxury hotel to attract visitors. Apparently there were quite a few options that were presented and rejected. Once they had arrived at a specific choice, there was one of the Grand Dam ladies that got up in a meeting and said hell would freeze over before they built that. At the ground breaking the Mayor took off his jacket and shirt and his T-shirt read something like hell just froze over. Also apparently Charleston had the highest concentration of taverns and brothels ever during it's younger days.
