Savannah Bound!!

Thought I had better post this now as the evening looks to be a busy one!! I leave on "the midnight train to Georgia" (no kidding) to take my dd's Girl Scout troop to Savannah. Please send all the pixie dust you can muster as we are looking at :
1) Trains running hours late due to CSX new rule to decrease the speed due to excessive heat on the tracks and
2) A disturbing storm that continues to brew in the Atlantic

I emailed the girls to bring extra money for a longer train trip and I am watching the storm updates several times a day. I have numbers for rental cars written down and an evacuation plan in place with the girls.(hope the cell phones work!)
Oh...one of my girls has mono and another has been exposed to meningitis!! Anybody ELSE getting bad vibes about this trip??? At the very least it shold be an amusing trip report for you guys when I get back Sat. night!!! So wish me luck. blow that storm out to sea and ya'll behave while I am gone!!!

Oooo...Debster!! I almost forgot!! Um..since Kim had a little difficulty with the blender the last time , would you be the keeper of the magical smoothie blender until I get home? You can use it to get yourself through the rest of your busy week!! (oh...and share some with the others too, ok?) I wish I was just chaperoning this trip...being the leader and the one who has done most of the planning for thia trip I am feeling a lot of pressure (self induced) to make things go well!! Silly, but what are ya gonna do?

ohhh..you are going to have such a good time! I spent lots of time in that area when i was growing up. I lived in beaufort and we went to savannah all the time on the weekends. I remember going on a tour of historical downtown with MY brownie troop, and they talk about the origins of the girl scouts..its pretty neat. Have a great time!!
