Savanna room at AKL

Is it worth the extra expense to stay in these rooms? Do you get to see many of the animals??

we stayed in a savannah room in april - i would say, imo, it is totally worth it..we saw animals all the time...giraffes and lots of others....we purchased the savannah view prior to arriving, but i have heard that many times people who reserve other types of views have been upgraded.
