I'm interested in the kids options here..... has anyone had the kids bowl meal? how big is it in comparison the regular? I frequently order kid size meals,as I prefer snacking etc to one huge meal

I had it yesterday.

It is about the same amount of meat with less rice in a smaller bowl. I didn’t finish mine, so it was enough for one small person definitely (I’m 5’1, 100lbs and not a huge eater).

Note that if you want sauce you’ll have to ask for it because the kids bowl comes plain. It’s about half the size bowl as the adult meal but my husbands meal was mostly rice, so I was glad I got the kids.

can you get the sauce on the side?

There is no way I can remotely finish an adult size but was considering ordering it for the sauce. On the mobile ordering there is no option.

We were there today and got an adult sized and kid sized bowl. The adult bowls ranged from $11 to $13. The kid sized bowl ranged from $8 to $9. The wife and I almost always split meals, so the adult sized was enough food for two average adult appetites. The kid size was about 1/2 to 2/3 the size of the adult, but we were told it didn’t come with a sauce. The adult seemed to have a lot more meat than the kid size, but I could not do a direct comparison because we beef and chicken. The kid sized meal included a drink. In our opinion, this was one of the best meals for the money at Disney World. We were surprised that it wasn’t more crowded considering the popularity of Pandora, which made the meal even more pleasant.

Thanks for the replies! I'm leaning towards it for the size, but I also want the sauce....I guess it doesn't hurt to ask when we get there....I can't share b/c the guys in my family like things that I don't!

A few weeks ago when I picked up my order (adult steak bowl with the herb creamy sauce, ordered on the MDE app) i asked if i could try all 3 sauces and the guy seemed almost excited for me to try them and got me little cups of each. Sure it depends on who is at the counter at the moment, but worth a shot to ask!

that's interesting. I think that for the difference in price (only $4) and the ability to order online (we have only 2 hours at AK to do lunch, pandora and whatever else we can fit in) I might just order the adult portion. Also there are more choices in base, i was thinking of trying the potato/sweet potato hash, which is NOT a kid meal option. I will end up pitching 3/4 (probably more of the base and slaw because I'll only have a few bites) of this because I had bariatric surgery and can't eat much but my son will probably help me with the meat portion. I'd rather pay $4 and enjoy the whole thing than feel like I am missing out on base, sauce, boba balls. But I have gotten accustomed to wasting food lately, it's just a fact of life... better in the trash than on my butt!

if kid one doesnt have boba or potato base option, i think its worth the splurge! the potato base is what i got and it was so good!! and the boba was really good on it. my kids tried a few and thought they were really cool!

from what I can tell from online ordering you have a rice base and a kale base option, it comes with the slaw, no boba balls or sauce. I believe they do this because it is the "mickey check" meal and it has to fall within certain nutritional guidelines that take out anything good ;) that's also why the protein serving sizes are so tiny on mickey check meals.
