Saturn Ion?

I am looking to purchase a new car and looked at a Saturn Ion. I have not been able to drive it yet, because the dealer was closed, but it looks like something I might like. Does anyone own one of these? Do you like it? I was specifically looking at the Ion 2 since it has a driver seat height adjuster on it. I am only 4' 11" and usually this feature is not something that is included.

I test drove one for the fun of it a few weeks ago. It was an Ion2. I was pleasantly surprised by this little car. It has like a quad 4 type of engine so it had more pep than a reg. 4 cyl (but it isn't a 6 cyl.) and I actually liked the dash board stuff in the middle instead of the through the steering wheel. It was very easy to see out of in all directions. A lot of leg room and head room in the front seats too. (not enough for Dan Murphy tho ) The back didn't have as much room. It was fun to drive and priced great. I think it is worth a test drive to see what you think.

I don't have an Ion but a SL2, I've had it almost 7 years and it has 110K on it. No major problems, have done just maintance. I'd probably buy another Saturn but want something bigger than they make.

We have an SL (pre-ion, I think) and a VUE. Love them both! Great cars.

I actually have an SL1 now. I've had it for 7 years also, but I have had a few wacky things going on with it for the last few months. Nothing major but just annoying. For some reason, the windshield wipers go on by themselves and will not shut off properly. They stop in the middle of the window! The light inside the car doesn't always come on either and I had a cable to the battery go on it too. So, it seems that I have the start of some electrical problems. I only have 43,000 miles on it, but with all of the incentives out there on new cars I figured I should check it out. We are also looking at a Vue.

i have a sl2 my second one i'm looking to buy a vue in next gew years. i think the ion replaces the sl series with some changes one of which is moving dash board. i love my saturns and love the customer service i have received from dealership also. i'd say at least take one for a test drive but i think even i'd love it.

I took the test drive today. It is a very nice car, and the dealer is offering $3,000 in incentives! The dealership was soooo busy we had to wait for someone to take care of us. The bad part is that the deals will end on Monday. They can't tell me what will replace the current offer, or if it will be better or worse. I am not sure if I can decide in one day.
