Saturday's DS report

Got there at 7:30..(earlier than last week)..told them I was gonna sleep there next weekend..lol..was third in line..by 8:15 there were about a dozen of us..new faces once again, but a lot of the same ones from previous weeks..most of them complaining about having to get there early..I told them wait till the mall opens at 8 after Thanksgiving..we will have to be there at 5 in the morning!..the store was shorted on the Pocahontas pin and only received 12, but the limit is still two sets per customer..also..be sure to check out the gift with purchase..you get a kid's Monster's Inc tee shirt free with $25 purchase..also it's the last weekend to use the $5 gift card that we got free a couple of weeks ago..hope everyone got all the pins they were looking for!..also a report on trading from last Tuesday..they said people were there at 5:30 and at 6:30 they started taking names so they could trade in the order they got there..CM said the adults were acting like little kids, arguing over who was first, second, etc..lol..also said there was a question of a 2 1/2 year old being allowed to trade or not..some said yes..some said no..in the end they let him do it!..don't expect much trading this week as most of the 100 years pins are gone and all that are on their lanyards are mostly rack pins from WDW!!!

Once again our two stores were shorted two pins, Mickey Mouse Club and I think Pocahontas. I was sixth in line and got second-to-last full set . One of our stores will be closed the week before Thanksgiving for remodeling! We'll have to get to the other one by 5AM!

Well we were shorted again, but not as bad as last week. Only 12 complete sets so the limit was 1 per person on the sets and 2 on others. We get there at 830 and have always been first. Before this week most of the other people were getting there around 945 but this week they started filtering in around 845. When they opened the gates we were told to walk to the register and who ever got there first would get the pins. No regard to those of us who had been waiting patiently for over an hour. Luckily DH walks fast so we remained first (comments were even made that I jumped the line when I caught up with him because I use a cane and can't move as fast as everybody else). The people who had gotten to the store right after us were 6 and 7 in line. Many angry faces but everybody was calm. One lady even jumped to the register without getting in line because she has a bad back and can't wait in line (her words). The manager served her and told her that next week she would have to wait in line with the rest of us. We spoke to the manager after and she is probably going to institute a line outside the store or go to a number system. It just isn't fair for those that show up early to get beat out by the fastest to the line. The ugliness has begun in central washington. If these stories are any indication of things to come, it is only going to get worse and Dec 15th is going to be a nightmare.

Without a doubt it has gotten worse each week. So far, I have been VERY fortunate. But it's only because I am willing to go extra miles, spend extra time and money to get what I need.

The store I went to had 20 complete sets. The only short shipped Lullaby Land. We seem to have the same 20 people and we all seem to be in the same place in line each week

No one has been rowdy or rude. The one bad thing this week was that they put up the Holiday Hickory Farms kiosk and they moved our bench! The horrors!!!! So we just went down the way a bit, picked up the bench and returned it to it rightful home AND.... the coffee place across the way late opening and no cafe mocha for me!! Geez this had to be the worst week yet now that I think about it....

The bright side is.... has anyone else spotted the new Gallery Beauty and the Beast pins that are out? My gallery had Belle and the Beast. It will be a set of seven pins LE 5000. And they are full body! No more heads So I shall wait and see when the rest come out.

The people at our store are great. That is in King of Prussia Pa. We were shorted nothing. It is like old home week and everytime someone shows up they give them a big HI.

We sold out in about 20 minutes, which is normal.
I just got back from WDW and can tell you this. The people down there are not crazy about the pins.
No takers???? I wonder why.
It just seems like they are not collecting them. Maybe they think a $4.00 or a $5.00 pin is not good.
I am going to post a topic. Would appreciate your imput.

the store i went to was shorted with lullabyland and pocohantas. to make it worse the person at the front of the line had their two kids there and found out what the pins that were shorted and purposely had their kids buy one full set and the two of these shorted pins so anyone after #5 in line behind them didn't get a full set. Nice disney spirit to instill in youngsters
