We are flying in veryyyy early Saturday AM. Essentially getting up in the middle of the night lol. Two adults, 11 and 15 year old, used to early morning and sports.
Trying to decide if it’s worth it to do Saturday on adrenaline and a nap, then Sunday, then take Monday off? Or take it easy Saturday (while wanting to be in Disneyland lol) and taking Monday off. We have five day tickets.
Thoughts?

Do Saturday and Sunday, then take Monday off.

It’d be a bummer to be so close and not go in on Saturday! And Mondays tend to be crowded anyway. And it’s nice to break up the park days, I think.

Since you have five days, total, you’ll have plenty of time either way, but that’s what I’d do.

I usually would take the saturday off. Saturday is usually very busy, and then of course you still need to check into your hotel which they wont let you do til about 10am or so. Which means you would either have to leave the park and go through security all over again when the lines will be much longer. Or you have to wait until you leave the parks at night and do a late check in with all your luggage and what not.

For me there are enough things to do in Downtown Disney where you could spend a majority of the day, including The Void, or you could bowl at splitsville. There are a lot of places to eat and shop. Usually on the weekend's the Lego Store will host free events for Kids from time to time (you would have to check their schedule).

Mondays for me have usually been hit or misses. I've been there on some mondays where its fairly dead, and some mondays are very crowded. But with Spring break coming up and star wars land opening soon, many tourist might be holding off for those to come up.

But its all preference, for me personally i just want to get check in done immediately and have all my clothes unpacked. Doing all this takes time and by the time i'm done i'll have already missed too much of the day for DL to be worth it, fast passes might only have super late return times left and with all the other families in the park by then it'll be harder to go on certain rides in a reasonable amount of time

Where are you staying? If you are staying on property, it's really easy to check in early (even very early) and store your bags with the bell service. Then you get a txt when your room is ready, which usually isn't until around 4pm, but could be earlier in the day.

Offsite. Homewood suites.

I say it depends on how well you think you’ll hold up after the red eye flight. Are you all good at napping? I’d probably go for it on Saturday if you guys could get a nap in too. We are terrible at napping so it probably wouldn’t work for us but if you can pull off a nap I’d probably go for it on Saturday.

I’m another vote for skipping Monday if you can pull Saturday off. The Deluxe APs are blocked every Saturday until late August, and that definitely makes a difference in the crowds.

I would go on Saturday. Saturdays are often the best days. Even if you can't stay for 8 + hours, you'll have a very good time.

Just pop your bags in storage at Homewood and go for it! That's what we always do....when you are tired, hop on the toy story shuttle and come back to get your room. Nap, then head back in to the parks! Homewood very fast at check in, so you won't have to wait.

Go on Saturday and Sunday. Use Monday to recharge for the remainder of your trip. It will be nice to go to the parks right away and start your trip. And a rest day after a couple of days will be nice too. Mondays have not been good days the last few years.
