Welcome to this week's Saturday Spotlight looking at the Disney-MGM Studios (not including food and drink as we hope to cover that another week). Apologies for posting a little early but I won't be able to do it on Saturday!
We hope that each week's spotlight will result in a great planning resource which we'll add to a 'sticky' thread at the top of the UK Trip Planning Board so that we can find it again easily.
Saturday Spotlight is aimed at helping you get that little bit extra from your trips to Orlando. Were not trying to rewrite the guide books and web pages dedicated to the nuts and bolts information, but hope we can add a bit of our own icing on the cake.
So get your thinking caps on...
, we need your ideas too!
Disney-MGM Studios
In the shop next to Pizza Planet youll see several large wooden packing crates. Try lifting the lids of a few of them.
Look for the "Singing in the Rain" umbrella attached to one of the streetlights near the old Hunchback of Notre Dame theatre. Hold the umbrella and step on the black square embedded in the cement underneath it
As you leave the lobby of the Tower of Terror, before you go in the TV room, theres a sign board in a glass case. Some of the white letters appear to have fallen out and are at the bottom of the case. If you can get right up to the glass and look down on the letters youll see they spell out Evil Tower u r doomed.
At the exit to Drew Careys Sounds dangerous are some great sound effect booths and special effect/ voice over set-ups. These can be accessed independently of the attraction so, if you have a while to wait before the next show, spend your time in here rather than in line, or visit these if you dont have time to do the whole show.
The Great Movie Ride has two different rides, depending on whether you are in the front or rear car. Try to do them both if you have time.
Check out the DIS for general information about the Disney-MGM Studios here!
Each Sunday we will continue talking about the Saturday Spotlight topic in Chat at 7pm. Please come and join us. If you are new and haven't chatted with us before don't worry, it is easy to do! This is a link to the Chat Room and you can always access and practice before Sunday
