I am making a short trip to the World (:bounce: ) from early evening on Friday, June 25th to mid afternoon on Monday, June 28th, staying at the Swan. Yikes, that is quick.

My plan (just mentally forming it as I type, and yes, it is flexible) is to hop over to MK on Friday for Spectro, Wishes and an E-night (yyyeeeesssss, an E-night!!). My question then is mostly for Saturday and Sunday, MK again and Epcot. I want to do one on one day, the other on the next day. I have never been to the World at that time of the year, late June, summer heat/humidity/crowds. The latest I have been there in the early part of the year has been last week in May several times, and earliest in the later summer (did you follow that, LOL?) has been several times in mid-September. Most often, I have gone early December, right after Thanksgiving (hope this year to be my 6th time at that time). What about crowds at MK? Saturday or Sunday? And I suppose either will be packed? Right? That seems to be my biggest question, I think, which day would be preferred for MK? Then the other day, Saturday or Sunday, would be Epcot.

My last day, Monday, till mid afternoon, I am planning on MGM most likely. Close to the resort for getting back to and on to MCO for early evening flight home :( No AK, I think I would die in the heat/humidity, hope I survive the other 3 parks. :sunny:

Sound feasible? Suggestions? What am I missing? Been a long time since I have asked planning stuff here, but we know the DIS has the answers. What else of consequence is going on then? F&GS is over, sure going to miss that one. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

And, as it says in my signature, who might be there then? Would love to say hello if possible. :wave2:

And thanks to everyone, you make this place what it is.

Hi Dan!
If it were me, I would go to Epcot on Saturday, and Magic Kingdom on Sunday. Go in early, drink LOTS of water, leave for a break at lunch time to get out of the heat, and go back in the evening.

We won't be at WDW then, because we will be sailing on the MAGIC!!!! We will be at the World starting July,3rd. Too bad our dates don't match up, would love to meet the infamous Dan Murphy.

As I said on your other thread, Dan, I will be missing you by just an hour at the airport!:(

Hi Dan!! I would agree with being in MK on Sunday. We try to avoid MK on Sat at all costs!! Waaay too crowded.

Hi Dan,
According to The Unofficial Guide (touringplans.com), Friday and Saturday are the best days to visit the MK during the summer and Sunday and Thursday are the days to avoid. Also, they say that both Saturday and Sunday are good days to vist Epcot during the Summer.
Have fun! We will be there at the same time as you. I'm travelling with a group of 14 (the in-laws) this year!

Thinking on this, I would actually split them up and do half one day and half the other. The problem with MK is that it *feels* much more crowded than Epcot is no matter what. That can get a bit "tiresome" to me, so I would take a break in the day and go to the other park in the afternoon. I noticed on this last trip that Epcot is much more open and more liable for me to get very sunned so I wind up needing a break from there as well.

I just did my quick trip this weekend (about 2.5 days in the parks) and we did do MK on Friday night, MK on Sat and Epcot on Sunday. We were fine there. In the summer you don't have to worry about extra crowds on weekends at MK for the fireworks like you do in December. I might also hold off on any definite plans to see what comes of the trial of the new EMHs they are doing. Might skew plans as to when is a good time to visit places. But as it were, I would probably do Epcot on Sat and MK on Sunday if I had to choose.

Enjoy your trip! I am sure you will have a blast!

Well thanks guys for your input and help. Some good thoughts there, much appreciated.

Mike, I would try to make a date/time with you, but with 14 inlaws, I think maybe it best to leave you to your group, LOL. :earseek:

Again, thanks.

LOL - maybe I'll be hanging out with you exclusively :smooth:

We will be hanging at the WL Friday night. On Saturday we'll most likely be at Epcot most of the day. Saturday night we are doing the Magical Fireworks Voyage Grand Gathering event. I am really looking forward to seeing Wishes from the water. Sunday we'll be at the Studios.
