Here's the scoop:
In order for us to be able to have a catered lunch at Cedar point, we have to make a substantial advance ticket purchase. Substantial in this case means it should represent 95% of those attending....
That would mean collecting monies from everyone who is going ahead of time and then making that purchase. I'm not so sure that this is such a great idea....or doable. I don't know that I'd be wiling to take on such a task. I really don't like getting in the middle of you and your money....
I did get a bunch of discount coupons that we can use to get good prices on gate admission. The coupons are good for a $9 discount on a one-day admission for adults and $5 for juniors. The group sales tickets would save us $14 for adults and .95 for juniors. Depending on how many kids you are travelling with, this may be a wash. I think I have enough coupons to get 120 adult and 120 junior discounts. Plenty.
What I don't know is what the feasibility of getting together for a meal without the catered event is. Any ideas would most certainly be welcomed.
I should mention too that the facility we'd be having the lunch in is indoors and not air conditioned. According to the rep, it does get a bit 'sticky' when it's hot outside.
So, RiddleCon attendees.....any thoughts?
