We'll be going to WDW next March, and wanted soime opinions on our initial itinerary. There will be 6 of us. Myself, Kids 10, 7 and 7, and my parents. We'll be on the DDP. Also, my mom had celiac, so I've adjusted our restaurants accordingly.

Day 1: Downtown Disney

We'll be flying in the morning, getting in early afternoon. Since we're staying at the treehouses in SSR, I thought a walk around DTD would be good.
Lunch: SOMEWHERE downtown (suggestions appreciated)
Dinner: BBQ at the treehouse

Day 2: Magic Kingdom

We always do Magic Kingdom the first and last full day visiting. The first day ALWAYS starts with Dumbo, then the pixies, then the rest of Fantasyland, Toontown :( and Tomorrowland. (aka East side of the kingdom).
Lunch: Cosmic Rays
Dinner: Crystal Palace. Jessica is Pooh bear crazy.

Day 3: Epcot

My 45th birthday!! Start of with Soarin (of course), then whatever tickles our fancy. The only other MUST ride is Figment. Kim Possible as well.
Lunch: Sunshine Seasons
Dinner: Le Cellier (I know, I know, 2 DDP credits, but it's my birthday dang it).

Day 4: Hollywood Studios:

Toy Story mania, Great Movie Ride and the "draw with an animator" are our faves.
Lunch: Backlot Express
Dinner: 50's Prime Time (hopefully with Fantasmic package).

Day 5: Epcot

Whatever wasn't done on Epcot Day 1. Another Kim Possible adventure or two.
Lunch: Whatever country we're in (suggestions for counter service appreciated)
Dinner: Ohanas Trying new places each trip, and haven't been here yet.

Day 6: Animal Kingdom

Brendan's 11th birthday. He LOVED starting at Kali river rapids last trip, pending March weather. Other likes are the Lion King show, the safari, Everest and a few water gun games.
Lunch: Flame Tree BBQ
Dinner: T-Rex (not on dining plan, but it's Brendan's birthday)

Day 7: Magic Kingdom

Day 2 at MK ALWAYS starts at Pirates, then we do the West side of MK. Big Thunder and Splash Mountain of course.
Lunch: Pecos Bill
Dinner: Hoop De Doo Aagin, never tried it, but sounds like fun.

Day 8: The Dream
Say goodbye to my parents, then the 4 of us head over to our first ever cruise on The Dream

Just a few comments:

A favorite of ours is the Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD.

Our daughter loves T-Rex Cafe. I can put up with the noise to see the smile on her face. She is a teenager. They are sullen, rude and angry so whatever it takes to get a smile. :rotfl: She's not really sullen, rude and angry all of the time!

My family also spends the first day at Magic Kingdom but our routine is breakfast at Crystal Palace. LOVE it!

Unless the policy has changed the 50's Primetime Cafe does not offer a Fantasmic Package. Like I said something might have changed but we do the package every year and we have been told it is Mama Melrose, Hollywood and Vine, and Brown Derby. You might want to check that out and make an adjustment if necessary. We always enjoy Mama Melrose or the Brown Derby. But you have to keep in mind that the Brown Derby is 2 credits.

Love Flame Tree BBQ! Hope you like Hoop De Doo. My family always refuses to go.

Have a great trip!

We like Wolfgang Puck Express in DD and also Earl of Sandwich.

I believe the PP is correct about the Fantasmic! restaurants. And you must book the specific package- just scoring an ADR at a participating restaurant doesn't cut it.

If you can't get a LeCellier dinner, why not try for a lunch? The food is the same and it's only 1TS credit.

And, finally: When you book your ADR's, you will be asked about any food allergies. Just input your mom's celiac issue and the chef (at any Disney restaurant) will make sure to have something on hand that she can eat. The chef will also come to your table to discuss her needs, and if you're at a buffet, he/she will take your mom around the serving stations and point out everything that she can eat.

When I did my ADRs last time for our May trip, 50s prime time was added to thre three restaurants you mentioned due to it being a Star Wars weekend. We ended up going to Mamma Melrose, which we all loved, but with my Mom being celiac, there won't be many choices.

As for Le Cellier, I heard rumours (NOT from a bus driver) that the menu would change for dinner, due to the signature designation. It doesn't make sense to me that the same steak at the same price would be 1 TS at lunch, and 2 TS at dinner.

My husband also has a gluten allergy - Disney World is his favorite place to eat because the Chef's come right out and talk to him. Your mom should have no worries about not being able to find something she can eat. The only thing that bothered him was no gluten free beer, except the manager at Garden Grill went and got him one from another restraurant. How awesome is that!?

Anyway - they all sound like good choices.

And a fun trip planned!

That sounds like a great plan! Like others have suggested, Wolfgang Puck Express in DTD is very good. I also like to go to Ghiradelli's for ice cream sundaes. :yay: If you have no luck with Le Cellier maybe Yachtsman Steakhouse is a good back up plan.

Have fun!!!!

We ate the counter service at Epcot in Morocco. It was really good. I would call and see if you mom can eat there.

Gluten free beer isn't needed for my mom, she's a tea toteller. I've already talked to a fantastic cast member that emailed me every item she can order at every park, so choice is not a difficulty.

As for Moroccan counter service, it's my absolute favourite counter service meal at WDW. Problem is that my mom, in addition to being gluten free, refuses to try any new food. She's 67 and just tried a kiwi for the first time a couple weeks ago, so I can't see her coming within 100 yards of Morocco.

As for my birthday meal, we think alike. Yahtsman's is my backup.
