Saturday after Thanksgiving Advice Needed

Wow! We are getting so excited for our trip! I have our days all planned out, but am nervous now and second guessing myself, lol! We arrive on Friday the 26th and are planning to stay out of the parks that day to avoid the crowds. I planned AK for Saturday morning, an afternoon rest, and MK in the evening strictly to watch Spectro and Wishes. Saturday night is basically the only time it will work for us to catch Spectro~~ what do you think? Have I chosen wisely? I know it would proabably be better to stay out of the parks entirely until Sunday, but DD will be itching to go! Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

We are also arriving on Friday the 26th! We are coming from CA and so get in rather late and, therefore, won't need to worry about the crowds Friday. I have planned to do non-park things for Saturday. We are staying at the Yacht Club and so will be doing SAB that day. Also tentatively planning things like the WaterMice, etc. We are just going to play it by ear -- from what I have read Saturday will be pretty crowded.

Sunday we have the House of Blues Gospel Bruch for the morning and then over to AK with MVMCP that night!

We did the same thing last year.

We checked in the day after Thanksgiving at the AKL Concierge for 2 nights, then onto the Polynesian.

AK was "doable" on Saturday after Thanksgiving, crowded, but we saw quite a few attractions.

We stayed at the lodge and relaxed that night, dining at Jiku while the kids went to Simba's Cub house.

All I can advise is make your PS's for Friday and Saturday now!!! The following week starting Monday the crowds were not bad at all.

I highly recommend that you see Wishes both from within the park for MVMCP and from the Polynesian. The perspective from the Polynesian for the larger show is such that the finale fills your entire field of vision. It's visual overload. Amazing.

Altogether I would say you'll be fine. Enjoy!

The only thing cool about going to AK on Friday is they extended the hrs till 8:00. AK is rarely opened after dark. I hear it is fun to see the animals after dark can't wait. We r going to be there that night. then head over to MK since it is open til 12. Sat I am planing on doing Epcot & then MGM at night to see the lights
