Were going to ca adventure on Saturday and wanted some suggestions on fastpass strategy. We're going to arrive early to be in when they open.

Ive lived in so cal my whole life and have never ridden TOT. Wanna do it before it's gone. Should I get a fastpass for that first or radiator springs.

Thanks.

I would just get on tot first thing, don't worry about fp. Only get fp if line is longer than 30 min. After tot, check line situation at rsr, and you can do single rider if applicable to your group, or get fastpass.

You can get a fastpass for radiator springs racers then go to Tower of Terror. The line shouldn't be to long. I also say that, because whenever I have gotten to DCA at park opening, Tower of Terror has usually always opened up later than park opening. I might have just experienced that on bad days. It might not be like that everyday.

I was in DLR last weekend. Busy day in the parks. We started at DL for magic morning, and moved to DCA at 10am.

At 10am, RSR FP was for 5PM.

In the past, RSR was "disconnected" so could get another FP immediately, but not any more. Couldn't get next FP until noon.

At 10am as we got into line for ToT, the ToT FPs were for 3PM.

With tower having hour+ wait(it was marked 60 mins when we got into line, but took 1:15 to get to FP merge and over 1.5 hours to get into elevator) all day, they were only running 2 shafts. I suspect the 3rd shaft is already being converted to Guardians, or perhaps testing new effects?

At 1pm,we got Soarin' FP's with 4PM return time. Screaming and Sky School FP's were running right at 40 min return time all day. Sceamin's standby was like 30-35 mins.

Monsters had 30 min wait, but as group of two we were sent in the exit to fill the 3rd row line. Took us like 3 taxis to get on the ride. Mermaid was posted 30 mins, but the line moves so fast, we were actually on in like 15.

We did a full 45 min wait for Toy Story Mania, and it was every minute of that posted wait time.

We were in DCA from 10am until 1pm, then 4pm until 7pm (total of 6 hours) and did 10 attractions: 10am: Got RSR FP for 5pm, ToT(1.5 hours), Monsters. Noon: Get Screamin FP for 12:40, TSMM, Use Scramin FP, Sky School(posted 25 mins but was less than 20). ~1pm Get Soarin FP and head to hotel for lunch and nap (up since 5am for DL magic morning). 3-4pm in line at ticket booth to upgrade 3 day hoppers to APs, that took WAY too long. 4pm tried to use Soarin FP, but one side was down. 30+ min wait even with FP, so decided to come back later (was told FP would be honored and it was). Mater's, Lougi's, use Racers FP, Mermaid, use Soarin FP

Good thing we did 9 E-Ticket rides in Disneyland in the first 3 hours, or our ride count for the day would have been terrible.

Awww...E-Tickets :)
Memories.

Thanks for all the replies! I think we'll try getting the RSR fastpass and walk on TOT as suggested. If I don't chicken out that is.

We're not going to stay all day. We got a 2-day 1park per day pass. Going to leave around 3:00pm and we'll be back on Christmas Eve for MK (will upgrade to deluxe pass then. My strategy for adding two block-out dates to the pass!!)

I think we'll follow-up our RSR Fastpass with one for soarin or CS depending on which is more favorable first.

That is, if this rain ever ends... :(

Thanks again all! :)

Have you used the Disneyland mobile app? It is really cool. Not only does it show current wait times, but you can see what the current FP return time for passes currently being handed out, without having to go across the park to the ride.
