Others started commenting about the difference in cultures when comparing tipping in America vs. other countries, and my point was that you have to follow the customs of the place you are visiting. Yet, you are the one who started this thread by openly saying you stiffed your stateroom attendant EVEN THOUGH DCL'S PROTOCOL IS TO TIP THEM. Who knows if your story about stiffing the stateroom attendant is even true, but it stinks if that story IS true because you now acknowledge that not tipping is/was wrong because of the DCL protocol...yet you stiffed them anyway.
