Satellite Radio?

DH has been wanting XM radio for a while but I was hesitant to pay to install a receiver in our car well now they have those that you plug in. Does anyone have any experience? I hate the thought of paying for radio but DH really wants it. Can you also use it in the house?

I LOVE XM! I installed it myself in my car and I am so not techy! There are models you can put in the car in a dock and move it to the ouse in a different one. I don'thave that model, but I know people who have other midels that are either portable or move between house and car.

I have an XM Roady that I installed myself in the parking lot at Target. Its well worth the money! They are really inexpensive anymore, and really easy to install yourself. DH complains that its just one more bill to pay every month, but I travel everyday and its a lifesaver on the road.

We have XM in both our cars and DH also has the XM2Go thingie. He takes his XM2Go to work and listens to it like a walkman. He gets a good signal in his building most of the time. He could also use it in the car, if he didn't already have one installed (had it installed about 4 years ago). We've also used it in the house, but you need to have the antennae by a window and use a regular FM radio to pick up the signal. For example, when we were painting our basement, DH set the antennae on the floor near the sliding glass door (at the bottom of the stairwell outside, so we were below ground level), put our regular 'ghetto blaster' next the the XM2Go thingie and turned it on. It worked perfectly. Any FM radio can pick up and play the signal.

I have Sirius and I love it

Installed it my self in the drive way (No Tools) set radio to FM 88.1 and off I went.

Got the Equipment free at circutcity.com (Reg 149.00 on sale for $100.00 with a 50 $ mail in rebate) I think you can get Sirius or XM

Becka, whichever one you choose, he will love it. It is so worth the money, we never listen to regular radio anymore.
