My wife and I recently returned from the Jan. 24th 7 Day Eastern. We enjoyed the cruise so much, we re-booked while onboard for the Jan. 22, 2005 Eastern.

Upon seeing all of our pictures and video, my parents begged to join us on our next cruise, and they were booked within a week.

The only problem is this: my father and I own a small business. The software we have written is mission critical for our clients. While onboard, I tested remote connectivity using gotomypc.com, and it worked great. Since my father and I are the only 2 people who can easily fix this software if there is a problem :( , we would really like to have a way for our techs to notify us in the event of an emergency.

Has anyone used either a satellite phone or pager onboard the Magic? If so, does the pager work inside a cabin, or do you need to be on deck for it to get a strong enough signal to work.

Any input will be greatly appreciated!

I'm interested too in the satellite phone. Very glad to hear gotomypc does work. Hopefully I won't need it!

If it is an emergency, have the techs spend the $6.95 and call you.

Remember, you will have a period of no Internet connectivity from 11:00 PM on the last night of your cruise onward. They shut off the guest access so they can get the charges to the bills and get set up for the next cruise.

While onboard in Jan. I got a direct # to the ship from the customer service desk. It is 011-874-330-851-612. I'm not sure of the costs but I was told that it would get you through to the Disney Magic and then they could transfer the call to your stateroom.
