Sat nav maps up to 40% off

Hi Everyone

Dont know if anyone is interested but on the Tom Tom site maps to download are up to 40% off

To download USA maps for our Tom Tom its £24.99 at the moment. Cheaper than hiring one out there.

someone my DH works with says you can pay to hire (when you pick up hire car) a sat nav with directions on how to get to most of the favourite disney/universal etc attractions.

Has anyone every used this ........... and for our first visit do you think it will be worth it?

DH actually admitted yesterday he is nervous about driving over there.

Yes you can hire them with your car but it costs! Do you know anyone you can borrow one from?

Its our first time out there too and DH is nervous about driving aswell (so glad i dont drive ) I think if upgrading the sat nav eases some of the pressure on him then its going to be worth it. Dont want to be sitting arguing about map directions when i can blame the sat nav instead

That is sooooooooo true We have a sat nav but not a TomTom one. Do you know how much they charge to hire the one with the directions already input?

This is exactly the way to go as it takes the pressure off (I wasn't so much nervous as I'd used this site a lot http://www.kissimmee-us192.com/british/airport_routes.htm).

The great thing is, you can go the wrong way and it'll reroute you automatically. It's great for discovering new places like Celebration (our favourite), you can drive round all the streets looking at the nice houses and never get lost!

I've got the Tomtom 720 and it worked a treat with US maps, even showing speed limits for most roads and also the lane guidance thing worked sometimes.

All depending on which Sat Nav you have most of them are upgradable. Did it come with a lead to attach it to a computer? If so go to their website and have a look around you may find you can download USA maps from there and preprogram your sat nav with all the destinations before you go

Thanks for that, very tempting as my US maps are a few years old now. Only thing is it's showing £29.95 for the US map (instead of £44.95) for me. Maybe my device doesn't qualify for the full 40%
