We are thinking about flying into Fort Lauderdale for our cruise in January and have been looking into travel options for getting from FLL to the Miami port. Would you recommend SAS or is there another option that might be better? It is just my husband and I

My experience with SAS was slightly haphazard but very fast. :)

I will likely use them again in December.

I am planning on using SAS at the end of September. They seem to have good reviews.

We used them when we sailed out of Miami a couple of years ago. Would recommend them. We were a last minute booking because of change of plans and they were great at keeping in touch with us and giving us the information we needed. The driver was very friendly.

We used them in April and I think it was $13 each (party of 5). Slight mix-up at pickup because there was another party of 5 with our same last name. We had a short wait of 15 minutes for another shuttle, but it was no big deal.

Would definitely use them again.

We will have a rental car for a week before our cruise and will return the car to Fort Lauderdale airport. We will be two nights in Miami Beach before our cruise.

SAS doesn't deliver to Miami Beach, but they do deliver to Port of Miami. Will we be able to get into the Port of Miami if we are not confirmed cruisers for that day and get a taxi or Uber from port to our Miami Beach hotel?

We used them in April14....GREAT!!! We stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn FLL, and they picked us up there. They called 30 mins prior, and the return to FLL went smoothly. Will use it every time I depart from POM.

I was dropped off directly at the NCL terminal at PoM by SAS, and picked up by a friend right outside the terminal when I left. It's like an airport, anyone can drive in or out, you only need papers to get INSIDE the terminal buildings themselves. I don't know if it's different at other ports. It may matter what time of day you're doing this, though.

I will give another thumbs up for SAS out of and back to Ft Lauderdale. We used them in 2013 and it went really well and we will be using them again next year.

I will be travelling with a 1 yr old. Do they supply car seats?

$15 pp. You call them when you arrive at FLL and they tell you where to go and send the van to meet you. Same thing at POM. Call as you are getting off, they send the van. Honestly pretty simple. We have used them a few times now, including last week without issue.

We had an unpleasant experience with SAS. I've already written about it in another thread, so I'll repeat the description here. This is likely too late for the OP, but I'm frustrated that all I had read about SAS online was good (though I've since found another negative report), but we had a poor experience, so I want to share my experience with anyone who might search & find this post.

We used SAS for transportation from the Miami port to FLL in January 2016. Booking was easy, but there were communication issues in Miami and the drive was unpleasant. The driver wasn't very safe- at one point, while gesticulating during conversation, he took both hands off the wheel for a few seconds. I couldn't believe a professional driver would do that. My son was in the van, so it was upsetting.

The driver also talked the whole time: highly opinionated stuff about politics and travel- apparently fishing for business of some kind. He actually offered to give me his personal contact info so I could call him about some vacation opportunity. I didn't want to argue with him because I wanted to keep up my post-cruise happy mood, but that drive dampened it considerably.

Didn't happen to be a younger guy/kid was it? We had someone opinionated like that, I wouldn't say that he was an unsafe driver though. I tend to just tune out people when they talk about that kind of stuff.

We had a somewhat unsafe experience on our trip back from the port to FLL after our cruise in October. The driver was doing about 80, weaving in and out of lanes on the freeway. I was about to have a heart attack. I had brought a bubble bum booster for my daughter, so I was happy to have her in something, but there were toddlers in the van with no car seats!!

Yes, I would recommend them. We used them in April and they were great. Fast, friendly, and informative. Would use them again.

Yes, he was young.

Yes, he was young.

We probably had the same guy. he had his girlfriend or sister with, so he may have driven better because of that when he took us;) I don't mind if they talk about the sights, but I really had to tune him out.
