Sarilas' O-fficial Pre-Trip Report (a.k.a. Vacation, Take TWO!) - Jan. 30-Feb. 8, '09

I love the clothes that you bought yourself! I hope they work out well for you.

Happy Anniversary!

I'll keep my fingers crossed... and thank you, LL!

:dance3: :dance3: Happy Anniversary!!!:dance3: :dance3:

sorry about the trannie.

Thanks! And there's nothing worse than a broken trannie... :rotfl:

DH is trying to deal with the place that fixed it originally and trying to arrange someplace to fix it under the warranty BEFORE we're supposed to go out of town on Wednesday... I hate not knowing if I'm going out of town or cooking Thanksgiving dinner! UGH!

The worst part is we have two other cars, but they only seat five and we're a party of six. Ode to the big family!

I'm very proud of you that you purchased clothes for yourself!

I know once that motherhood gene kicks in, it's virtually impossible to do that. ;) Without tons of returns. Oh wait, that's me. :lmao:

Those tops are adorable!

And, even though it's late...

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Awe, thanks, TK. I even bought myself a new coat this weekend... good lord it's like Armageddon around here! :rotfl: It's a gray short satin trench coat... so cute.

Edited to add... this one!

Thought you might find this interesting:

Happy Monday Snowbirds!

I wish I had found some better news but.... I was over at the Mickey's Mom's Panel and one of the Panel Members was asked about the P&PP, she replied:

"We have been told that the Pirate and Princess Parties that had previously been scheduled for the first half of 2009 have now been canceled. If you have already purchased tickets to this event, you should call Disney at 407-W-DISNEY to inquire about refunds."

I guess that makes it official.:sad2:

Well it certainly makes me relieved that I chose to alter our plans early based on conjecture... but bummed that they're cancelled at all!

I LOVE THAT COAT!

Hon, you're going to look fabulous and fantastic! Good for you! From one mom to another, good for you! :thumbsup2

That coat is SO cute!!! :woohoo:

I heart it! I went out with DH on Saturday without a coat (just a sweater) and started to freeze. I found that one at our local Target but not in my size... and that was all they had. They called a store in the next town over and they had ONE in the size I wanted (just a bit larger so I can wear sweaters underneath it!). We high tailed it over there and bought it and I'm thrilled! It transitions well from day to evening and I do love a good multi tasker! :rotfl:

It's perfect- even the belt is high under the bust so it doesn't cut me right in half... and it's not black since I wear so much dang black, I had to break it up with a different neutral and some texture!

I think it's a great piece that you'll really get a lot of use out of! I'm starting to realize in my own shopping endeavors that going online to make my purchases just isn't worth it sometimes. Although I may get some great deals, I waste so much time returning 75% of it. There's something to be said for just going to the store, trying something on, and knowing it fits / looks good and you're taking it home. The problem with me is that when I do that, I need a HUGE chunk of time because I like to try on a lot, you know? Fortunately, I'm all set for winter now, but DH is great about me getting out for some alone time if I need to, so I think I'm going to change my internet shopping ways.

Heck, it'll probably save me money. :lmao:

Our trip is just over two months away- hard to believe after all these months (and all these changes)! :rotfl: I love it when you all post your pictures of where you'll be and what you'll be doing in a few weeks time... of course with this being our first ever trip to WDW I'm unable to do the same thing. BUT I can share with you some pictures of me at Disneyland in years past!

Therefor I give to you, my first Disney trip EVER! (Be forewarned, the word 'random' comes to mind frequently during this excursion to Yesterland.)

Disneyland, July 1975!

Hello, Small World!

Oh look! It's me on a horsey! (I had just celebrated my first birthday, awe...)

The Matterhorn... and I have NO idea whose head that is in our bucket!

No idea who these people are... but the better question is, WHAT is that character in the background?!

That's me in the stroller in the back on the right, about to be swallowed by Monstro on the Storybook Land canal boats!

And my favorite... Skull Rock near Captain Hook's pirate ship restaurant!

Those were the days...

OMG!!! I so miss the buckets going thru Matterhorn.
I miss the old subs, I miss the people mover.

Ah heck, now I wanna go to DLR.:rotfl:

I'm so sorry about your mom!

You have beautiful kids!

I love your disney box.........wish I had one!

I can't believe how many times you've changed your dates!:rotfl:

Happy Aniversary!

Ok, I think I'm all caught up.

Great Disneyland photos -- I remember going there when I was younger -- I was about five the last time I was there, but I sure do remember the Skyway and the canal boats. I know I still carry the emotional scars of riding the Matterhorn (I hate anything that even pretends to be a roller coaster). Thanks for sharing!

I've got more to upload from a trip when I was a bit older- it makes me incredibly homesick though!

Way to catch up! Yeah... I wasn't kidding when I said I can barely remember when I'm ACTUALLY going to WDW... it's like a blur!

I remember being able to see the abominable snowman when you'd slide through the Matterhorn on the skyway and slinking down into the bucket every time like he was going to come down off his perch one day and grab me!

But oh, I do love a good roller coaster! :woohoo:

Happy Day-After-Thanksgiving, everybody!

I hope everyone got their fill of holiday goodies and if you braved the Black Friday crowds you were able to find all you sought! I was able to pull off quite a feast for Turkey Day, considering I wasn't PLANNING on it at all... and this morning I made a sizable dent in my Christmas shopping as well! Kyle and Tatiana will have quite a new wardrobe come Christmas morning! I wish I'd thought to take pics of some of the clothes - including Pirates of the Caribbean shirts for Kyle and Tinkerbell shirts for Tatiana (from Sears of all places- one of the Tink shirts is a tattoo, Ed Hardy inspired design... really cute and unusual).

But then I got home and found an email from DisneyShopping.com about their one day sale and I found a few more things I'd been eyballing had been discounted! SCORE!

First, the items I actually went to the site for:

They have 50% off personalized items, so I made Alexandra a lavender colored blankie with Mickey Mouse stitched on it (it will make a great travel blanket for WDW):

Then I got this pillow for Anastasia- Tinkerbell's hair is 'raised' for texture and it comes with a lightening bug attached by a short string (in a pocket of the pillow; she's got a Diego pillow just like it and LOVES it):

Then I got this hair clip for Tatiana - it's a Hannah Montana faux hair thingamabobber, and she's SO into Hannah Montana but I just can't bring myself to actually buy her the clothes and such. Why is it I don't mind her covered in Tinkerbell or Princesses but a teenager in a blond wig makes me stop cold? Nonetheless, I give you the guitar hair clip:

Then, because I hadn't completely expired my gift card with those three items I HAD to buy two more t-shirts for Stasia and Lexi... HAD TO you understand, HAD TO!

Stasia's Jasmine shirt:

Lexi's Cinderella shirt:

I came... I saw... I SHOPPED!

On a side note, it's getting hard to differentiate between our ACTUAL travel date of January 30 and the date the kids THINK we're traveling which was February 20! For instance, my Deluxe edition PassPorter came in the mail (LOVE IT) and I had to stop myself from writing dates in it so the kids don't catch on! Now I know why I don't keep secrets from them... it's TORTURE! :rotfl:
