Is there a section that is close to both the restaurant and Downtown Disney?

Personally, I'd prefer being closer to Downtown Disney - I wasn't impressed with the food court, and if you are close to DD, you can get to Earl of Sandwich, Wolfgang Puck, etc. easily.

I think it was about a 20 minute walk from the main area (with the fitness center and food court) to the beginning of Downtown Disney....maybe a few minutes less.

Go for Congress Park...10 minute walk to DTD and to Carriage House.
