Saratoga Springs?

Has anyone stayed at Saratoga Springs yet? I believe it's open.... we'll be there in 10 days!!! SO EXCITED!!!

Wdwlover88, I just returned from a studio stay at SSR. My family's stay was very nice. And I should add that the room was the prettiest out of all the DVC resorts that I have stayed in (and I have stayed in them all). I will probably get around to posting photos of my room within the next week. The resort is lovely.

we just got back, after being there the very first nights. Its great! Fantastic! Amazing!

Here's my word of caution, if smoking is a big issue for you.......since there was only one building open, when we were there. The smoking rooms were all over the place and the CM's were not as dilegent as they could have been, so if you wanted non-smoking, even if you were told its non-smoking, look for the little sign on the door of your room. We asked for and were told we were getting a nonsmoking room, only to find that it just hadnt been smoked in yet but was in fact designated "smoking optional" and the room filled with smoke because the people in the adjoining room were huge smokers. We ended up having to move in the middle of the night.

When more buildings are open the will designate smoking buildings, but for now they dont, so check and double check.

On Monday, June 7th, the second building officially opened up (it had been open to CMs only from what I had been told). Hopefully, the smoking situation that Stacy6552 described will be more under control (I was luckier than Stacy6552 as my family did not experience any problems with smoke).

Is the second building that opened the one right next the building that was already open or is it one of the other Congress Park building.

I'm not going until Oct. so I'd like to know which buildings are open. Will all 4 Congress Park buildings be open by Oct?

Yes, the second building that opened up is immediately to the left of the first building (if you are standing in the parking lot and facing the Congress Park buildings). If I get a chance later on, I will scan in my resort map and post a link to it.

I'm really looking forward to my stay in Oct. and it's good to hear they are opening more buildings.

Last night I got a chance to scan in one of the maps from the SSR resort. I've marked the first two buildings that opened up. I stayed in Building "1" and Building "2" opened up this week. Click here for photo of SSR map. I hope that helped.

By the way, I have begun a photo album of my SSR studio room. I don't have many pictures in there yet but should within the next week or two. Here's the link -- click here to view it. My room was lovely. It was on the first floor and faced Downtown Disney.

Thanks for the map! Now I can plan a little better as to which building I'd like to stay in.

Is it alot farther from building 2 to the main building (compared to building 1)? I think I'd rather stay in building 2 to be closer to the quite pool and the laundry facilities, but if it's alot longer walk, I'm may request building 1.

Its a smidge farther, but not by much because of the layout. The good news is that its closer to the bus stop and you can always hop the bus to the lobby.

Thanks Stacy for the tip about hopping the bus to the main area.

I also like building 2 because it was close to the bus stop, but I didn't even think of hopping the bus to the main area.
