Saratoga Springs

My family and I will be staying at Saratoga Springs in a one bedroom for 2 weeks in July. What section would you recommend? Thanks for your help.

It depends on what you are looking for.

Springs, closest to main pool/CS/TS but is last bus stop and often can be SRO on buses.

Grandstand, next closest, has nice children's play area (young children), first stop on the bus

Congress Park, outstanding views of DTD, has a quiet pool. It has the shortest walk to DTD.

Paddock, across from Congress Park, they are building a new themed pool here.

Carousel, this is the only section I have not stayed in so I can't really comment on it.

Personally, I dislike the Springs section. We were close to the end (closest to the main pool). We spend a lot of time on our balcony and it was noisier, lots of foot traffic on the path below us. And always having the buses be crowded by the time it stops here gets annoying.

My favorite is Congress Park or Paddock. It's quiet there, the walk to the main area is not that far but it feels less removed from the hustle/bustle. But we have no young children. If I had young children, I'd probably pick Grandstand. The play area is nice plus it's the first bus stop.

we were at ss this past october and stayed in the paddock. we were a short walk away from the congress park pool and bus station. it was actually closer to walk there then the paddock bus stop. this was nice since we were far enough from the main area that it was not crowded. also i was not a long walk to dtd from were we were. i really liked staying in this area. the main pool was not more then a 5 min walk for us.

I have stayed in all sections at SSR, our favorites were the Grandstand since it was first on the bus route and we enjoyed the pool there and being close to the High Rock Springs main pool, the Paddock because we loved walking across the pretty bridge over to the main area (a new main pool will really make this section great) and Congress Park.

Congress Park might be my most favorite since it has a great quiet pool with a gorgeous view of DTD, esp at night. My husband and I would enjoy a glass of wine in the rockers they have right off that pool by the rivers edge, looking at the lights of DTD while our kids swam. Best quiet pool in WDW! And being so close to DTD is great for us. We do not rent a car and we enjoy dining at other resorts so being able to easily walk over to DTD and get on a resort bus there was wonderful and time saving for our dining plans.

I'll add that the Carousel is nice. Its the furthest out but its so quiet back there. And if you do have a car, its nice to be very close to the main entrance. And with the new pool going into the Paddock, that will make this section more desireable. It was around a 10 minute walk to the main area at a leisurely pace from the Carousel.

I also don't care for the Springs, our room was right above the road where the busses stopped and it made sitting on our balcony less than tranquil. We are also quiet pool people so being in a section that has one is nice for us. It was convenient but not high on our list to ever return to.

SSR is wonderful, one of my favorite Disney resorts, I hope you enjoy it too!

Congress Park love the location and the pool there, and views.

We liked Grandstand until we got the building the furthest out, the one near the Treehouses and it was too far removed from everything and did not care for the views.

Second would be Springs, then Paddocks.

Love Congress Park, can't beat that short walk to DD! Especially convenient for a shopper!

We love the Springs because it is closest to the main pool and the food court. It is also the prim bus stop, so I'll keep requesting for there. Hope you have a great time.
