Another great location is the newer Grandstand section.
It has its own pool and waterplay area, is also very close to the Carriage House/restaurant area, is the first stop for pickup and dropoff to the parks (important when you're going at a crowded time), and has some lovely views (some golf course and westside DTD views; we saw the La Nouba "tent" from our villa).
BTW, I think the new pool bar area there is now open; I'm not sure if they serve food (it wasn't open yet when we were there in early May).
Have a great time! SSR is a wonderful resort.![]()
In case anyone's interested...... here's a view from a 4th floor Studio in The Grandstand (Room 8432) of the pool area. We never heard a sound when our balcony door was closed.![]()

Great pics -- I saw other pools there but not this one!
Also wanted to say hi neighbor! I live about 30 minutes from Gwinnett Co.!
Thanks LISAVIOLET. I was wondering about Congress Park. It sounds very nice, but did you have any trouble with bus service to the parks? I see it is the fourth stop on the bus route. Where there times when you couldn't get on the bus?? I envision it filling up at the first three and then CP and Springs guests are out of luck. Does this sort of thing happen??
At check in the CM will let you know what is available and you can pick from there.
Funny you say that, DisneyNY- my friend and I were just saying the same thing this afternoon.!! Now that our GG hase been upgraded to 4 1br. We are going to spend maybe a little more time at the resort and not be in such a rush to get back to the parks. This changes the feel of our whole vacation.
I guess all New Yorkers do think alike!!!
