Saratoga Springs vs Beach Club...help us choose!

I think either resort is great! It depends on personal preference. Do you like Downtown Disney? If you do, then saving the $1,600 and stay at SSR would be best for you!

Do you like to be within walking distance to Epcot? If you do, then the vicinity gives you more hours at the park.

As for view, you can request SSR downtown Disney view, which will also give you a nice view!

As for beds at BCV... I believe it matters on whether the two bedroom you get is a dedicated or not. I could be wrong.... but our last trip a year ago included a 2BR at BCV and our second BR had two queens. That was a dedicated 2BR. Several trips before that we had a 2BR and I believe the second had one bed and a pullout. That one was not a dedicated.

As for the resort, we have stayed at both SSR and BCV. Our only experience at SSR was in a Grand Villa with no kids yet. We have two DS (3 and 2) and stayed at BCV last year. For me personally, I prefer BCV for location. SSR was spread out and had uncovered walks to transportation. BCV is so convenient as others have said. While BCV is in the "back" of the resort it is close to the snack shop for mug refills and is an easy walk to the beach/walkway to Epcot.

just my 2 cents!

Last fall, i was making the same decision between BCV and SSR. If price is your major issue, go with SSR.

We chose BCV because of the location and we LOVE the pool.

After we bought our contract we had some expiring points that needed to be used quick. Only SSR had availability so we stayed in a 2bdrm. The resort was great and we would stay there again. The 2bdrm was beautiful and the resort was in a peaceful area on the golf course. Bus stops were close by and our building was one of the furthest from main lobby and was still only a 5 min walk.

I still rank the BCV a little higher because of SAB pool, the proximity to Epcot, Boardwalk, and HS, and we prefer the dining options in that part of the property. This is not to say that one resort is good and one is bad. More like i'd rate the BCV with an A and SSR as an A-.

If i didn't have young children, i would probably rate SSR even higher because of the golfing, more of a quiet resort, and Downtown Disney. However, who has time for all those adult things when you are chasing around a DD1 and DD5???

Best of luck on your decision and please keep us all updated!

We used to be owners at SSR, and stayed at BCV once. My family preferred SSR. We liked the pool at SSR better (I know most on the DIS would disagree)It was way too crowded IMO, and DS was too little for SAB. But I would have to say for $1600, go for SSR.
