Saratoga Springs - Renevation Works???

Hi everyone...

I have heard that there will be renevation works being carried out at Saratoga Springs next year when we will be there (middle-late May)

Does anyone know what the extent of these works are, which buildings it will affect and when they will be taking place/completed???

I have also heard that one of the pools will be closed at this time; is this true, which one and for how long?

It is better to be forewarned so we can be prepared or, worst case, move to another location

It took them 17 years to do a half-assed renovation at OKW. I can't imagine them doing a renovation other than soft goods at SSR so soon.

They are supposed to be redoing a pool at the Paddock and adding theming, but I thought that had already started.

Yes, the Paddocks quiet pool will be closed during that time (I believe scheduled to mid summer?) . As for other renovations, I haven't heard anything and I doubt that it will be anything too disruptive if they do anything. An advantage of the SSR setup is that with the outside corridors, you don't have to worry about them tearing up the hallways/carpet, etc during a renovation, it will almost all be contained inside the rooms themselves.

You might want to find the thread where the 2010 DVC condo meeting and its content was provided. I attended live but it seems to me they mentioned they will be painting the outside of the buildings and with SSR being so large, it will take approximately 2 years to complete. Not sure though when it was to begin...
