Saratoga Springs Model Photos

I think it's beautiful. Not my first choice because of the location but I'm glad to have another resort on board and hopefully there will be some choice now for those last minute trips besides OKW. True that there are different strokes for different folks, the pickled wood at OKW practically makes me break out in hives (I can't stand the stuff!) but I love all of the other resorts, both beachy and warm.

about SSR, I remembered your photos.

Tks so much for posting them. We are finalizing our docs for BCV and the guide wanted to offer the info on SSR before we are completely finished.

I have several reservations since we like the proximity to Epcot and MGM and I often take DS (8) and DD (5) alone when we visit the park. DH usually is at a conference when we visit WDW.

I'm open to suggestions/advice from one and all!!

The room layout is the same as BWV. I'm wondering why Disney does not vary the layout at all, but only changes the decorating. It would be nice to see some of that Disney imagineering put to work for a new design of rooms for DVC.

Sorry, since the web site requires a sign-in to view, I had to pass on viewing.

Thanks so much for those pictures! I love the furniture - dark wood is beautiful. I definitely look forward to being able to stay in a room like that :)

As the OP stated, a membership is free, all the information they ask for is first name and e-mail, I think, then you see the pictures. This is a site I use often, no tricks here, that I know of.

HMMM! Thanks for the photos! Looks kind of plain and a bit small. Is there no chair in the master bedroom? Bathroom looks nice. It also looks like the living room "sofa" is love seat size. I guess I was a bit underwhelmed.

I like the looks of the decor...

But doesn't it look like we've lost even more vanity space in the Master bathroom? (the jacuzzi room)

It seems that, with every new resort, we lose more and more vanity area...

I think the total resort will be much more than just the rooms. The rooms complement the ambience all around. I suspect this is going to be a very popular resort once completed.

The description at Disney's DVC Web site really gives a better picture of what to expect. If it comes out as described, the decor fits as perfectly as one can imagine.

Plus, the beauty of the darker wood can't really be captured in a photo. There is resort in Boston called the Omni Parker House, which looks sort of dark and depressing online. Once I actually got there, I didn't want to go anywhere else in Boston. Pictures just didn't do it justice.

I suspect that is the case here, but we'll see!

As the person who took the photos - I couldn't agree more! The units are definitely prettier in person, and I think when they're in the actual resort rather than in the BW they'll seem nicer still.

The dark wood really IS beautiful in person - and works perfectly with the theming and other colors, in my opinion.

Thanks Sue!!!

I think it's pretty, but the word cookie cutter comes to mind. It looks like BCV only different colors, woods and fabrics:rolleyes:

I do like it though and I like what I've seen of the resort so far. While I'm done with add-ons for the time being, I'll definitely be booking a ressie at this resort in the future.

I do wish Disney would change the layouts and spice it up a bit though!

Yes - Cookie Cutter - Same room different colors and furniture. I am disappointed that DVC doesn't get a bit more creative in design vs. the cheaper way - old design that works, no new designers working. It is a workable room, but Marriott designs rooms to the area - adds fireplaces, different room lay outs etc. You always look forward to a beautiful new layout and design around the country with Marriott. I will love to stay there but because of our other ownerships and OKW, BWV and BCV I see no reason to add on. If the rooms were different maybe I would of.

Thanks for the pictures! I'm also really glad to know that the pictures do not do the rooms justice! That is what I suspected, although they are great pictures!

I wasn't too thrilled with the layout of the GVs. It looks like the kitchen/dining room is ver seperate from the rest of theliving area. I suspect this will make it look smaller and darker. It also looks like there are no balconys, and this too will add to the closed in feel, IMO. The pool looks great, but I am not that much of a pool person, so that really doesn't matter to me. I think the exterior will be very nice.

I like it! Thanks for the pictures.

What is up with the "dining room"? It looks like a table for two. Where is everyone supposed to sit to eat?
