I think there was a charge for using the washers & dryers also (but I don't remember what it was). It was a very nice setup with 3 or 4 pairs of washers/dryers and a table for folding. As someone mentioned earlier, the laundry is in the building right next to the quiet pool at Congress Park (not sure if there is another one at the main pool).
I don't remember having to pay at the SSR Laundry by the Quiet Pool. We did need our room key to gain access, and soap was $1, but machines were free....
We stayed there in August in a studio for 3 nights and used the laundry at the quiet pool. No charge for the washers or dryers and we had our own detergent tablets. After 11 PM the doors automatically require a room key to enter. There are coins slots on the machines, but just push them in empty and they start.
Though they are set up to accept coins, you do not need them. Just set the machienes and push in the coin thing--they will start. Laundry is complimentary for those staying in the studio.
yes, dh and i went out to the quiet pool around 12:30 a.m. and threw in a load of laundy and then took a dip in the pool and the hot tub.. the tv was a great little idea too.
We used the quiet pool laundry one morning and one evening during our Nov. visit. We had the place to ourselves. It was clean, in good working order and a comfortable temperature.
Are the washers and dryers for use by studios free at other DVC resorts also? We have always stayed in a 1 or 2 bedroom villa. We are staying in a studio for the first time next month.
