Saratoga Springs HELP - Need Info

Hi to all

Just booked a studio at Saratoga Springs for 2 nights starting July 29 before moving onto Broadwalk villas for 6 nights. YIPPEE!!

Looking for information from those of you who have stayed or looked at SSR.

How many buildings are open? Anyone know where I can find a map of the resort? Is there a location of a studio that you would recommend? We would like to be near a pool.

How is the food at the food court? What about transportation?

Realize that it is under construction still and that is ok with us. We will take it in stride. Just so EXCITED about trying a new property even though Broadwalk Villas are our favorite.

By July 29, three buildings will be open. All are on the lake facing towards DD/PI. The fourth building is scheduled to open on August 7.

Does anyone know when buildings identified as "14" will open? I thought that they were to open starting in January '05, but I saw a post that indicated November '04. We were just wondering since they are so close to the pool and food court that maybe we should request them for our December trip.

Unless the construction schedule has been significantly advanced, those buildings (that area is called The Springs) ae supposed to open, one per month, beginning in January, 2005.

You can certainly make a request for that area, but don't be surprised if only the Phase 1 buildings (Congress Park) are still the only ones open.

How many buildings are open? As of June 11 just 1 building was open for guests with 1-2 undergoing 'testing' by CMs etc.

Anyone know where I can find a map of the resort?
Resort map in this thread is accurate. You will be in a room close to DTD as that is the only building open. Request a PI view for best in-room midnight fireworks viewing

Is there a location of a studio that you would recommend? We would like to be near a pool. Congress Park has a 'quiet pool' which is a 3 minute walk from any room. You may want to drive or shuttle over to the main pool as the return walk to your room feels much farther than the one to get to the pool.

How is the food at the food court? The food is average but DTD is close enough to enjoy those resturants

What about transportation? Had a car so did not use the bus, boat service is spotty

Visually, you cannot miss the construction but otherwise does not interfere with your stay. The Treehouse Villas on the golf course over to the right when you enter may be where SSR is going to expand next.

Hi all, we're just back from 6 nights SSR and although we own here did another add on as we really had a great stay.

The buildings marked 14 (The Springs) according to our guide will all be open by November of THIS year.

The first being the building on the right (this is being painted at the moment!) of the above map being open in September, then next one Oct, then Nov.

The buildings marked 15 (The Paddocks) are opening from left to right from Dec 04 to April 05 (one a month).

Construction is not a problem, just not eye candy!

When you are there, there will be only 3 buildings open, most of the studios are at either end of the buildings with the larger units occupying the front parts.

The quite pool was the one we used the most and has a great view of DTD both day and night.
