And those beds are the best!! That's the first thing DH and I noticed during our July stay there.

Hi Sammie! How are you? Probably like me; planning your next SSR trip! :thumbsup2

I am great, and wish I was back at SSR. :thumbsup2 I am really looking forward to the opening of Carousel and Grandstand. SSR just keeps gettin better and better.

I am here laying on this bed and you are right these beds are great better than BCV beds. I usually sleep on the sleeper sofa there. This place is so much nicer as it grows. We are in the springs right now across the street from the main pool. The room is nice we are above the rooms they use to do the showings for new members. Well today we used one the DVC perks at Fultons Crab house and we really enjoyed it.

Our family is dying of anticipation - let's see it is Wed, so 3 days until we arrive! And I will be home for the first time! I don't care where they put me - just get me there!

Thanks for your review. We too had our first stay at Saratoga Springs last week. We were in the Springs section--- 2 bedroom---3rd floor---3827.
This section seemed very quiet while were were there--in fact a film crew was across the way filming for 2 days. The Staff went above and beyond--extremely friendly and helpful during our stay.
We dined at the Turf Club---my Husband and Uncle played pool prior to Dinner while the Ladies enjoyed an pre-Dinner cocktail. We had the Blue cheese topped Sirlon steak and the BBQ ribs. We enjoyed our dinner, the service and good conversation. There were only 2 other tables in the Club during our entire Dinner stay.
We also tried the Artists Palette late one evening. My Husband had the Pepperoni Flatbread and I had the House salad. We had them packed to go (Monday night Football watching) and really enjoyed both selections.
Enjoyed the pool only one evening-----mostly park hopping and shopping this trip!
All in all---we had a GREAT time and will be back to SSR to relax and enjoy the amentities.
When I come home in December, 2006 to SS, I will try the Turf Club (which I know will be different from the Philadelphia Park Turf Club Center City OTB and Restaurant that I go to in the Philadelphia area).

Thanks for the report - getting really excited about our first visit in December.

And the steak and ribs sounds wonderful, even though I have just eaten my midday meal. :Pinkbounc

Just came back from SSr. Stayed in the Paddocks area, buildin #65-68, Room #6811 (Dedicated 2 BR Unit)

Thanks for the the Thermostat info! I am going at the end of January for a week of golf with another buddy of mine (maybe 2), and that will come in handy (then again - it will be January - maybe not)

Stayed in the Paddock last week for our first visit. Very nice.

We did think that Artist Pallet not serving hot breakfast food until 7:30 was a bit later than we remember compared to other resorts. Especially if you are trying to get to the airport or early entry into the parks.

We also were in the Paddocks, and we enjoyed it. We thought they might have started serving a hot breakfast a little earlier. We had a 7:48 tee time, and couldn't get a hot breakfast before we started.

Like many on this thread, I have preferred staying at OKW. But I did stay at SSR this past September. I loved it. I enjoyed it so much that I am staying there next week. It was a great place to stay.

I ate dinner one night at the Turf Club and would recommend it as a place to eat dinner.
