What is the difference between Saratoga Springs Deluxe Studio Preferred and the Deluxe studio?
And is it worth the extra points?
Why did they change this after all these year?

Thank You

2 areas closer to DS and Front office. Its subjective if its worth it. We dont think so. but others do and like the view of DS. Also they changed because of so many requests for those areas.

Springs and Congress Park are preferred. Paddock, Carousel and Grandstand are standard.

They changed because everyone either requested Congress Park to be a closer walk to Disney Springs or the Springs to be closer to High Rock Springs pool, the Carriage House and the dining facilities.

We are doing the SSR preferred location in a week to make sure we are close to Disney Springs. It's was only 1 extra point a night so we went with it.

My last trip was in June and I stayed in a Deluxe studio preferred. We were placed at the Springs. Originally we wanted to be closer to Disney Springs. I wasn’t too bummed since we always do the resort mugs and it was such a short walk to get to the food area to refill them. Our room was also a short walk away from the front bus stop which is a plus if you are using the bus transportation. No kids were on this trip but the pool was very close, so that’s one thing to consider if you have little ones.

Originally we would walk all the way from our room to Disney Springs. The walk wasn’t too bad to Disney Springs but we quickly found how to use the boat service. We would walk right out of the room and walk across the street to their souvenir shop. You then walk past the surf and turf bar and grill and the boat that takes you to Disney Springs is right there, just a few minute walk. If you google a map of Saratoga Springs you will see it’s a straight shot down from the springs area to the boat, just walk through the air conditioned building to reach it. Saved a lot more time than walking across the entire resort to get to Disney Springs.
