As for my wife and I, we purchased SSR in 2004 and have never regretted it. Most of our friends "complain" that we spend to much time at disney by going twice a year. Well we found that they go on vacation once a year and are probably just jealous. But our thinking is that most people dont really utilize their points by trying different places. We took the auto train one year from PA to FL, spent a week at disney as well as driving around orlando, then went to daytona for a couple of days (using points for another hotel), then drove to Hilton Head and stayed there on points. The following year we spent some time in Nantucket (first time there) and had a blast. Now we are not rich but it does make us take more vacations and enjoy ourselves more.
So I guess what I'm saying is that people buy, then they think they can only stay at disney without ever trying other places to visit, and decide to sell without really using the potential that the point system has.

Where does the train pick-up in PA? I thought it was outside Washington DC, but PA would be great

Actually we did catch it in Lorton, VA, just below Washington DC off I95.

BTW, it's a great ride; goes from 4:00P to the next morning around 8:30Am.
Drops you in sanford i believe. Best thing is we had dinner, then went to the lounge car and watched National Treasure when it was first released, went to bed, woke up and had breakfast, then they threw us off the train!
