We are staying at SSR in a 2 bedroom villa in November. This will be our forst stay there. We have been reading alot about the Springs buildings and Congress park buildings. We have 3 children under the age of 6 and want to be kind of close to most everything. I do like the idea of the DTD views from Congress park. Does the Springs have views of DTD??

Thank you.

Michelle

I can't answer your question (we have only stayed in Congress park), but I have to tell you how adorable your signature picture is!

The Springs does not have a view of DTD because Congress Park and the woods (as well as part of the Paddock) are between the Springs and DTD.

We stayed in Congress Park last January and really enjoyed walking to DTD to eat and shop. We love the Rice Krispie Treats at the candy store. My DIL and D's would walk over there late at night and get a snack. The view of DTD is nice also. This said, we just got back from a stay in The Springs. We loved it there also. Closer to the theme pool, community hall, AP, etc. I don't think you will be disappointed with either of these choices. The Paddock area is farther away from things, but the bridge across the pond looks like it will save alot of time getting from there to the theme pool or AP. Have a good time and just enjoy yourselves.

P.S. I too love your picture!

1) Ask for
. . . water view
. . . fireworks view
. . . 2nd or 3rd floor.
2) You will be fine and love the view.

I haven't stayed at SSR yet (we'll be in a 2br next May) but just wanted to chime in that your siggie picture is adorable!!

Congress Park is nice. You've heard all the reviews.
The Springs Buildings, the 2 near the main pool would work the best for you.
A 2 BR is going to have a great view of the lake with the fountain and it doesn't matter what floor your on. Walkways and elevators are all convienient for the strollers.
Really though my wife and I love to walk and all the pathways and grounds are great for that. Soon I think you'll see golf cart shuttles on the resort like they are doing at Coronado Springs.
Oh and wait till you get into your 2BR, your going to flip at how beautiful and big it is....Just Like Home...or even better than home.
Have fun,
Mark

Ok, just another gush about how cute those kids are!!!

Also, as a person who works in emergency medicine, it warms the cockles of my heart to see them restrained in properly fitting child safety seats. :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

DH and I are staying at SSR for the first time in Dec. - couples only first time too! :cool1:

I requested a DD view so does this mean if they honor our request that they will assign us to the Congress Park section or is it possible that we could be assigned to the Springs(?) building? Should I specify "fireworks view from Congress Park section"?

I like the idea of us being able to possibly sit in the hot tub near the quiet pool in Congress Park and watch the fireworks one night (even if we freeze our butts off!) :cold:

Question 2: Is there more than one bus stop at SSR? If so where are they located? I've searched online and can't find a good map with bus stops indicated or the names of the quiet pool/buildings.

Thanks all.

Right now there are 3 bus stops, one at Congress Park, one at the Springs, and one at the Paddocks. There is a temporary stop made at the Main Pool area but no bus stop there.

There are quiet pools at the Paddocks and Congress Park, not one at the Springs since it directly across the street from the main pool.

thanks for your help! Sounds like we need to specify Congress Park fireworks view. Anyone know if you can get the refillable mugs refilled in the Congress Park section or do you have to go to the CH to get that perk?

Thanks.
