Will Saratoga have a child care facility similar to the Boardwalk? I noticed they advertised "child care" in the brochures but that is often included in all disney resort ads referring to in room services. Anyone know for sure?

Good question!

the DVC website lists babysitting and child care under the amenities, but I haven't heard/read any details yet.

FYI, BW closed the Harbor Club a year ago or better. They recommend the Sandcastle Club at Y&BC.

What I was told is it will not have a child care facility other then the in room service and your able to use the ones at other resorts.

Actually Harbor Club is open. It was open two weeks ago when we were there. If I remember correctly it was only open for a couple nights a week.

There's been a lots of infomation from DVC about what will be available at SSR. There has been no word of a child care "club" such as those at some of the deluxe resorts.

I would not expect a child care "club" at SSR.

Too bad. With DTD right there I think many DVCers would use it, along with many others.

That's good to hear, for a couple of reasons. One, our next trip will be sans grandparents, so we will actually use it. Two, it means that attendence is up enough to make it worthwhile to open.

Thanks everyone- I guess Im just a little surprised because I thought child care would have been considered in the plans. Especially with the spa and DVC offices on property- they might even have used some afternoon hours. Wasnt there a facility at OKW in the beginning of DVC that kids could play in when parents talked to agents and signed papers? I guess the need just isnt there anymore.
