Saratoga BBQ Pavilions

Hi All!

We have a huge family trip in a few weeks and I had a question about the BBQ options. We are "hopefully" staying in the paddock at SSR and I have been reading mixed things about whether or not there is a BBQ pavilion there. If so, is it gas or charcoal and where is it located?! Are there tables to sit at?

There is a grill at Congress Park as well. All are only charcoal grills that very basic.

I really would be surprised that all the pools at SSR have them.

I've always been surprised at how poor the BBQ facilities are at DVC resorts, but then again Disney is also not really interested in helping you cook your own meals...

As you know Brian, high end gas grills are common with many resort systems. Many also provide actual grill utensils and clean them daily.

Regarding the gas grills at the Polynesian; what is the etiquette for these? As in, how are you supposed to clean them when you're done? Do they provide a cleaning area/supplies? are you supposed to take the grill back to your room?

There are no grills at the Paddock. We used the grills at the Congress pool area. We had 17 in our party and used 2 grills. No one else was bar-be-quing. We always use the grills. You can purchase the charcoal at Artist's Palette or we go to Publix's. You can also request barbeque tools. With 7 kids in our party (11-1)always eating out can be over rated!
