Saratoga and other Deluxes Summer Availability

So we started looking at booking our summer vacation, would like to stay end of July beginning of August and Saratoga is completely booked up, says not a single room available for multiple combinations of dates. Across the board most of the deluxes have zero availability showing up. Is something going on with releasing of rooms or are the deluxes really that booked right now? We’ve stayed at Saratoga multiple times over the last 15 years and it’s always the resort that has rooms left when no one else does.

Saratoga Springs Resort is a DVC resort, and DVC members are using points that they didn't use during the pandemic.

I don't think you can lump in SSR with "deluxe" resorts when looking at availability. There are rules regarding when DVC rooms are available to book with cash through Disney; it's not the same as Disney-owned hotels.

In addition to DVC members using up points accumulated during the pandemic, DVC has also been depositing a lot of SSR 1 BR villas to RCI this year, noticeably more than in recent years, to use up DVC points that owners deposited to RCI during the last couple of years. That’s another reason that SSR is booked up more than usual. We’re booked at SSR in July on an inbound RCI exchange ourselves.

It is frustrating. I have been trying to find a room for June. Only rooms available for deluxe are king bed rooms or rooms over 600 a night, mostly 700-900 a night range. There are some studios available at Saratoga for 3 nights of our stay but not the whole week
