saratgoa springs and viewing wishes

I had read on the boards that you can view Wishes from certain rooms at SSR. When I called the resort to request a room specifically for that, the person I spoke with had no clue what I was talking about. Does anyone else know if this is true? thanks

I can't think of anywhere at SSR that you could view wishes. It is quite far from MK.

perhaps they meant Epcot's Illuminations ? and if so that would be extremely limited if visible at all.

Looking at Google Maps, it appears that SSR is 3-4 miles from the MK. If you saw anything, it would be only a glow in the sky.

Yep. Wishes! is directly straight off the balconies at the Springs and you can see Illuminations off to the left; and you can see them WELL too. Did it every night we were there in December and weren't at a park at fireworks time.

Back to SSR in Sept for F&W and plan to ask to be in the Springs primarily for this very reason.

you can see them clearly even from the quiet pool at CP. You are looking out over OKW so i would think its EPCOT you are seeing.

We stayed in Carosel last June and we saw wishes a few times during our stay. Granted, we were only able to see the really high ones, but we did see.

However, I'm pretty sure there isn't such a thing as Wishes Preferred View at SSR.....

Yeap - we could see Illuminations from our balcony in the Springs and Wishes if we steped out the front door and watched from the walkway. Neither was an "awesome" view but both were fun to see

We saw the high fireworks from Wishes in the distance from our balcony at SSR in February and you could hear the bangs really clearly! We were in the Grandstand area near the bus stop facing the main road in.

Its been a while since they've done fireworks at DTD. Several years I think.
