Hey Everyone,
We had a fantastic time on our wedding and honeymoon and now it's time for the reviews! I'm going to skip the actual grade since we were very pleased with everything and just talk about my experience, since I find that more helpful anyway.
DFTW: I'm so glad we had a Disney wedding. It was above and beyond what I ever imagined or expected. Everyone we dealt with was fantastic, here's just some comments about the specific team we worked with.
Pam Pearce - Sales Consultant: Pam was always so friendly and truly made it seem like her pleasure to answer each and every question I had...and I had a lot

. We had some trouble ironing out the timeline, and Pam helped us to reach the best solution for us which was to extend our reception by an hour. At one point I had asked about extending the DP rather than the reception to save some money, after polling the planners Pam told me that it wouldn't really be a good idea, and she was absolutely right. It was so hot that night that I barely wanted to be out there for the scheduled hour

, I can't imagine having to keep people out there for two hours. So sometimes the rules can seem frustrating or if they don't give you the answer you want to hear, just remember that they really have been through it a bunch of times and know their stuff

.
Karen Heyn - Wedding Planner: Karen was awesome and was really on top of everything. She always answered all my questions and offered great advice. I had originally wanted to cut the Wishes music feed, and Karen (nicely) told me that she really felt that made the experience and I am so glad I listened. The music really did add a lot to the experience and made it really seem like our own fireworks show. I also had some doubts about the cheese display and she helped to ease my concerns and on the wedding day it was wonderful. Most importantly, I truly got to be a guest at my wedding and didn't have to worry about how things were supposed to be set up or anything like that. She also packed up all our reception stuff at the end of the night and had it sent up to our room. I know they are probably supposed to do this, but it was nice to not have to worry about anything and everything was packed really well and not just thrown in there.
Laura Kidd - Disney Floral: We didn't use Disney for floral but we did use them for linens and the pre-reception / DP centerpieces. The linens were beautiful and our guests got a kick out of the gel centerpieces... although I did hear some guests were a little too fascinated with them and touched the gel inside or fished out the confetti.
Grand Floridian Catering - The food was amazing! Even better than at the tasting. The Jiko filet was completely spot on, even better than I remember at the restaurant. All of our guests raved about the food, so that was great to hear. And the dessert party food was very yummy too.
Grand Floridian Bakery - The cake was beautiful and tasted delicious, I only wish I got to eat more of it! Good thing we can always have a replica made the next time we go to Disney.
DJ Charles Miles - We had originally requested DJ Miles, but he was booked so they assigned us DJ Scott Messina. After I got really excited about Scott Messina, DJ Miles had a cancellation so Disney booked him instead so that's how we got DJ Miles after initially being assigned Scott Messina. Overall I think he did a good job. He played what we asked him to play, he didn't play what we didn't want. He was very nice and tried to get everyone on the dance floor and to create a party atmosphere. Both DH and I were happy with him. There were a few things that I wasn't crazy about but our guests seemed to like it so in the end it was fine, for example he did a lot of "Where's my NY crowd?" etc, which DH and I find a little cheesy but people did scream every time. In a strange twist of fate, my SIL & BIL just got two cats which they have named Charlie and Miles not realizing what our DJ's name was

.
Outside Vendors:
Rev. Jack Day - Officiant: I'm so glad we chose him. He is so sweet, genuine and funny and it certainly didn't seem like he'd only met us the day before the wedding. He did the ceremony the way we wanted, and with feeling and we got so many comments on how beautiful the ceremony was. He also told us exactly how to stand and everything for the ceremony, lol, although the whole unity candle thing was very confusing and we couldn't figure out how to do it right at the rehearsal

. After the ceremony, DH realized he left the check in the Groom's room and went to get it. But Rev Jack was so nice and even said, he didn't need to get that yet, you could have taken some more pictures first, I'm in no hurry. I have heard of some officiants literally running out of there after they got the check, so I thought it was very nice of him to stop over and talk to us and give us a copy of the ceremony.
The Roots - Photography: Loved them! We had done our epics with them so we knew what to expect. They are so nice and laid back and were great to have around on our wedding day. I had forgotten to appoint anyone from either side to organize the family pics and Jensey kindly stepped in and helped to make sure we got everything. We had previews by the end of the week and I have already seen the full set of proofs and I love the pictures.

I cannot recommend them highly enough and I'm so glad that we had them there to capture our day.
Cinema Chic - Videography: I haven't seen the video, so I can't speak to the actual product yet, but Kat was great to have around on the wedding day. I didn't interact much with her assistant Seth but he seemed very nice and stayed behind the scenes. Since our reception was extended for an hour, we were left with an hour where we would have no video or photo coverage. I wasn't concerned about the photo since how many pictures do you need of people dancing, but I do think that is often the funniest part of the video. So when I asked Kat if she thought we should start shooting a little later to stay till the end or if she thought we should start with some getting ready video, she kindly offered to send her assistant home early and she would stay through the end so that we would have everything. I hadn't even thought of that being an option, so I was thrilled and she did stay until the end of the reception and I saw her all around the dance floor getting lots of footage

. I can't wait to see the preview.
Lee Forrest - Floral: Amazing! I was completely blown away by the flowers. They were so gorgeous and so much better than I had ever imagined or pictured. Working with Lee was a pleasure, he was so nice and it really felt more like talking to a friend than a vendor. Everything was done beautifully and I really wish now that I could shell out the extra money for keepsake floral because I really did love my bouquet that much. I'm not really a flower person, but the flowers were one of my favorite things of the day.
Beaute Speciale - Hair & Makeup: They were great. On the day of the wedding my two sisters decided they did want to get their hair done after all. Well they called Beaute Speciale that morning and they sent another girl so that everyone could be done on time. We had 4 hairs and 4 make-up and everyone loved how it turned out. None of the BM's or MOH's had brought inspiration pics, but after just a few questions the girls got right to work and really gave each girl a look that fit them. I would definitely recommend them. I know we definitely had Lane, she had done my trial, and then I think Alice and I think the other hair girl's name started with a "J". They were so much fun to have around the morning of the wedding and we had a great time just chatting away and most importantly we were ready on time.
A Chair Affair - Chair Rental: The chairs were beautiful and the price was much better than Disney's. Everything was set up on time and the room looked great.
Men's Warehouse - Tux Rental: DH handled this one, but everyone's tux fit and looked great. The tuxes were there when we arrived on Saturday and they picked them up on Wednesday so the whole thing was really easy.
Carolyn Allen's - Dress Steaming: They steamed my dress and three of the BM's dresses and everything looked great.
... next up Glad I did / Wish We didn't / Wish we Did...
