Dog gone it. I was out taking those photos last night and leaned up against the car, came forward and stuck to the car. Sure enough tree SAP :(

These are my favorite pants/capris :( Is there anyway to get the sap off?? I haven't washed them yet.

i am scared the sap with set into the fabric. They are light tan :( and the sap is darker.

Did a google search and found this. They say to try Goof Off(never head of this) or WD40, spray the product on the stain, rub in, than launder as usual. Also for a homemade treatment it says to try Mayo in a similar fashion.

Try searching www.google.com

I got it, just being a smart a..., thats what I do here ;)

I've got mayo!

I also have SPOTSHOT for carpets. I wonder if that would work... :/ I am just so bummed.

ugh! That happened to me once - I ended up throwing them away  . If I remember correctly, I did try washing them (cause I was young and stupid then), and it just made it worse so, don't do that ;) :p

You might try putting ice on it and see if it makes it hard so you might be able to peel it off. I know that works with gum, not sure about sap though. That Goo Off (Goof off?), that might work really well. You can find it at Walmart. It is dark yellow colored in a bottle about like a glue bottle (in shape). I would treat it before washing. I think washing will set it in. Post what you do and what works, please......:hyper: We'll all learn from your experience!

Thanks. I will see if Fred Meyers has it (We don't have Walmart, Kmart or Target :( )

Rubbing alcohol may work, my dog steped onto a big glob of it, it took a while, but the alcohol did get it out.

Their website is: techstainremover There is a store locator on the website.

We use this for "all things sticky" i.e chewing gum, stickers that have gone thorugh the wash and dryer, permanent sharpie markers on the table, tar that got accidentally dragged onto brand new carpeting...

The label says " a premium, al-purpose, ready to use product for all washable fabrics that safely and easily removes even the toughest stains."

We buy it at Fleet Farm in the Milwaukee area.
Good Luck!

(edited to add store locator info)

Fred Meyers will have it. I thought the only Fred Meyers left were in Washington and Oregon! Ours became a Smith's. I like F. Meyers better....really miss it!

'Ya know, you might even call a local dry cleaners and ask them for advice on how to remove it at home, now that I think about it.

You could try taking them to the dry cleaners and explaining what type of stain it is. They are usually great at getting those types of things out for me.

We call Fred Meyer's Fry Freddy Kroeger *hahahahhaaa* it's Fred Meyers here, Kroegers bought them out and it's called Fry's in AZ.

I may just do that... take it to a dry cleaner.

Sheeesh...there for awhile, we were all tired of the "change the name" game! They did not tell us right away if we were going to lose our store or not. That's alot of jobs for around here! I've never heard of "Fry's"....that's interesting! I hope they can help with your shorts! And you will know what to do in future with 'sappy' problems. :)

I haven't washed them yet. I have a ton of other clothes to do (we're washing clothes, going through them, getting rid of a bunch and packing up the other stuff).
