Does anyone know how to get there from Anaheim? I'm staying on Harbor Blvd. I need specific directions or addresses. I've heard a lot about it and have been trying to go there for years. This next trip we'll have 5 days in DL so I was thinking of taking a drive on one of the days.
Thanks!

This might be of assistance. Santee Alley is interesting to see, but if you are going before Christmas, I would definitely check out the Friday sample sales. They are usually held on the last Friday of every month, but will be open the next few Fridays before Christmas. Much, much better quality than the alley. Of course, they cost a lot more, but tons cheaper than the actual stores. You do need to bring cash and your own bags for the sample sales. The site should give a list of which showrooms will be open.

Have fun!

Thank you so much! :woohoo:

BTW, if you go around calling it the "Garment District", the Downtown boosters will shush you. It was renamed the "Fashion District" years ago. The name is more glamorous, but the area is as gritty as ever.

You can also request a free map on this page.

Another site to check is http://downtownla.com/

Thanks for the info! I'll have to retrain myself to call it the fashion district so as not to offend anyone!
