I got adviced a while back to ring two weeks before I went to request the sort of room i would like... or try to.

Not sure whether to or not? Obvioudly have two young children... so dont want to be somewhere really noisy...?? like near the bar i guess... But then don't really want to be miles away from reception walk way etc... shall i just leave it and see where i am put? or would you advise that i ring... and is their a block/ blocks... that work well?? we have booked ajoining room with "nanny"

I dont think that you could be somewhere noisy as the blocks are separate to the building that holds the breakfast room/restuarant/bar/reception to be honest.

If you want to be assured of being away from the reception then ask to be close to the river however this is 3-5 mins from reception.

When I phoned the Santa Fe, I just asked them for adjoining rooms in a quiet block :) .

As cap'n says, there are no bedrooms in the main building anyway, so noise shouldn't be a big factor. I've never stayed in the big block right at the riverfront, maybe as that one has the most rooms/corridors in it, it might be noisier :confused3 ?

when i went i was in block 58. just across from the reception like a minutes walk. we never had any noise and you just cross over the bridge to walk to the park. in the middle of the blocks there were seating areas we passed to go get drinks from the machine in another block and people were out there a were a bit noisy to be honest so i wouldnt have liked my room to be there.
