I was just wondering your opinions on staying at Santa Fe...

Obviously its one of the cheap ones but does that affect much inside??
Does anyone know if the double bed is a comfortable sized double when sharing with someone?

Is it any smaller than all the other hotel? as I will be sharing with my cousin this year as hubby cant make it :( So obviously wouldnt be snuggling up this time LOL!

Ive only stayed at hotel new york, so perhaps I should have started basic and worked up lol.. but we spoilt ourselves last year for the 1st trip lol.

:santa: :santa: :santa: :santa:

I'm an unashamed Santa Fe fan

The rooms in the Santa Fe have 2 double beds in, so one each for you and your cousin - and they are soooooooooo comfy.

The rooms are the same size as the Cheyenne rooms (can't comment on any other hotels, as I've only stayed onsite at the Cheyenne and Santa Fe).

I've always found each room I've had at the Santa Fe to be clean, tidy, and everything in full working order. The outside theming, compared to other onsite hotels, is not as good, but I still think its a great value-for-money onsite hotel at DLRP.

Hence my 3rd visit to the Santa Fe next week :cool1: :cool1:

Sorry should have stated that the other double would have my 2 boys in it :) :lmao:

Would it still be roomy enough to share a double for 2 adults?

another thought...do they decorate the Santa Fe at Xmas at all?? The NY hotel last year was beautiful inside with a huge Christmas tree inside and outside :)

:lmao: :lmao: well as you can have up to 4 adults per room, I would assume that there is room for 2 adults in one bed, without having to cuddle up to each other :rotfl:

They do decorate the public areas of the Santa Fe for christmas - not as imposing as the stunning tree outside the HNY, but still very festive.

i am going on the 13th so i can tell you then. i guess its all in what you expect.

You have to specify a room with 2 double beds, as some of them have 1 double and a set of bunk beds. Personally I wouldn't stay there in hot weather as it would get extremely hot with no air conditioning. I think all the hotel rooms are the same size. Personally I didn't like the Santa Fe nearly as much as the Cheyenne and the Cheyenne is only marginally more expensive (I think less than £50 for a stay of a few days?)

Haven't read what others have said but the Santa Fe is great if you want to sleep and wash! Its very basic, think of a travelodge. The double beds are so comfy, I swear if I could get off with it I'd pinch the matresses!!;)
The only reason I'm going to the Cheyenne hotel next time is because for the 4 of us to upgrade it was only £40 so thought I'd try it out.
But yeah I would 100% book the Santa Fe hotel again and have no worries about it!

SANTA FE ALL THE WAY!

hi
Stayed at the santa fe on 22nd september for 2 nights. I wasnt very impressed. The outside of the hotel is not very nice at all especially as you have to walk past all the other lovely looking hotels to get to the parks. Inside our room was clean but also not very nice at all the furniture was very old fashioned and all chipped. The bathroom had all mould around the edges of the bath. I think it might depend on what you would prefer to spend your money on because some people like to stay at a budget hotel so they have more money to spend in the parks which is why we picked there to stay on our first trip. My Dh wants to stay at the new york next year when we vist dlp. What was your experince of that hotel like?

I stayed at the Santa Fe a few years ago and really liked it. I know it wasn't as nice as the other hotels but it was great for the price we paid. The theming wasn't spectacular but the rooms we had (two adjoining rooms) were clean, comfortable and functional. We had two in each double bed plus a cot in one room and we were quite happy.

We stayed at the SF in May and we would happily stay there again. The theming is a bit on the coloured concrete side but the rooms were clean the beds were very comfy cozy and enough room for 2 adults and a hyperactive 2 year old. We had breakfast here which I think is pretty standard across most of the hotels but only ever ate the pizza in the bar on a night which was acceptable. If the weathers good its a lovely walk to the parks.

My experience of hotel NewYork was that I loved it..it seemed so posh inside, the rooms were lovely and the beds ever so comfortable and snug!!! There were quite alot of suited people going to their conferences as their rooms are very posh!!!

The swimming pool was very basic,we went one morning before the parks opened, no shallow endbut I wasnt there for swimming haha!!!

There was quite a few characters in and out over the day and evening.

Really liked it there but to be honest we was only there for 2/3 hours a day and then asleep!! so for the extra money paid out I wasnt even there lol

We too stayed at the NY on our first trip and loved it but felt for the amount of time we spent there, we would be better off in a cheaper hotel next time so have booked the Santa Fe for this coming Feb.
