Santa Claus Conquers the Martians,,,that's the movie we've been watching this morning, it's from 1964 and the premise of the movie is,,"Martians kidnap Santa Claus and two children in an effort to capture the Christmas spirit for their listless children."

I reck'n we just found a new tradition Christmas Eve movie !


Last night we watched " Shrek the Halls",,that was funny !!

Well, we've been here for a whole day and haven't seen the Christmas Monkey or his Donkey yet. However, Tom the Christmas Turtle came by our camper yesterday,,biggest Christmas box turtle I've ever seen,,bout 12". Denise gave him 1/2 a head of lettuce,,Christmas came early for him

Oh, I fish'd yesterday fer bout a hour,,caught 11 swimmers,,one was a bass and the rest were bream,,,and a couple of'em was even bigger then bait fish,

Just talked to our son back home, todayz high was 30 and tonight is spose to go to 19
I like Florida weather much better (and the fish'n too).
We'll be headed to the Fort inna week or so.

What an awesome Christmas !! I cooked breakfast for my baby. .. And I caught one more swimmer for a total of 14. ,The sun is shining, it's 73 out, and we have been looping enjoy'n this beautiful day.
Now Denise is cooking ribs for supper and we are gonna gear up for early morning after Christmas shopping,,
(gearing up for me usually means a couple of cocktails are coming)
We're waiting for Tom the Christmas Turtle to come by and eat with us,,or any of the Fort friends who wants to join us,

Not sure,,but I can say it was one of the most unusual funny (old) Christmas movie I've ever seen.

The MST3K version would have the silhouettes of a guy and 2 robots in the lower right corner of the screen and they riff the movie while you watch it, very funny stuff.

It was the original 1964 version we watched. So bad it was funny.

Good morning from the beautiful state of Florida !
Today is a 70 percent chance it won't rain here. And is spose to hit just 10 degrees shy of a balmy 86 degrees,,,yeah baby !!
Yesterday we met and fed Tom Turtles little brother, Ted Turtle. He was fairly shy compared to Tom, but he didn't turn down the lettuce buffet that Denise offered him. And wow was he fast, almost beat our buggy ! And he would have too if he haddn't wiped out when he hit that pot hole.
Caught two more yesterday, one big bream, and one real nice cat, total of 16, so far. I have a new (secret) bait to try out when we get to the Fort,,I'd tell ya what it is but then it wouldn't be a secret.
Can't wait to get to the Fort !

Forgot to mention, at 3:AM a couple of Racoons decided to to try out our buggy, good thing I didn;t leave the keys in it,,,they did however manage to get my tackle box open and made a real mess of it. Well, gives me something to do this morning.
