Santa Claus at the parks? When?

Hi All,

We're heading down to WDW for Thanksgiving week and I'm wondering if we'll be seeing Santa at all. I ask because last year we did the visiting elf thing and it was a lot of fun. I'm wondering if our elf should arrive when we're there. Last year he was waiting in my DS's car seat for him after our town's tree-lighting festivities (Santa arrives by fire truck!), but I believe we'll be on our way back home from WDW at that time this year.

So I was thinking that if we see Santa sometime during our visit, that our elf should appear then. I read on an old post that Epcot does/did Holidays around the World and that Santa and Mrs. Claus were at the American Adventure...but that was an old post, so I thought I'd see if anyone has any recent info. Does he visit the Osborne Lights display at all????

The last time I was at the World at Christmas time, we saw Santa at Downtown Disney, in the Market Place area if I remember correctly. We got our picture taken and everything.
But this was 2004. So that may have changed since then. Good luck finding him!

We saw Santa in DTD and outside the American Pavillion. Pictures were taken at both by PhotoPass people. And if you are going to MVMCP in the MK, Santa was just off Main Street during the party. Hopes this helps !! Have a great vacation !!!!!

Thanks so much - this helps! I wonder if he shows up right away the day after Thanksgiving or not - anyone know??? We're leaving the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so not a lot of "Christmas" window for us.

We were there last year during the Thanksgiving long weekend for 2 weeks and Santa was definitely there ! Have fun !

I saw somewhere that he will be at the Swan hotel in the lobby for pictures beginning Friday, we will be there too.

We saw Santa in the MK but it was during MVMCP so I dont know if he is there all the time or not. It is right off of Main Street on the right hand side.
