Santa by appointment.

Went to take DS for his first visit to Santa, walked up and the line was pretty short so we figured that we would go ahead and give it a try. The lady manning the line said we needed a pager to see Santa!! You have to give them your name and they give you a pager (like the ones you get at restaurants when you are waiting on a table). I couldn't believe it, it was an hour wait to see the big guy!!

BTW..we did it, roamed the mall and waited the hour. Once the pager goes off you have to get back and get in line to see him (only about a ten minute wait at that point.)

I just couldn't believe you need an appointment to see Santa now!!

It is so you can be spending money istead waiting in line. I like it also no breakdowns while waiting to see Santa.

Oh my gosh, I think this is a genius idea!!! Plan to arrive at the mall during a moderately busy time, get a pager, have about an hour's worth of shopping to do, then finish up with Santa and home you go!!!

Yes! I love this idea.
The mall we go does this too now. Last year was the 1st time I believe. At first I thought it was strange but a lot of people must have loved it because it is back.
This year we signed up, got a pager, grabbed some supper and then Santa paged us!!! It worked great!
