We are thinking of flying Allegiant this time. The flight doesn't leave until later in the afternoon so we would not arrive in FL until 730 or 800 pm. My thought was to stay in a less expensive hotel the night we arrive and then head to Disney the next morning. This way we wouldn't waste a day of a room and tickets that we can't use. Any thoughts on this??
TIA!!

Can't help you with hotels in Sanford, but I would get a room-only reservation at one of the Value resorts for the night of arrival. You wouldn't have to burn a day off your park tickets and you'd already be at Disney so you could get an early start at the parks the next morning.

That was another idea I had. How would we get our luggage to our other hotel?? We won't be renting a car. I was thinking of doing the towncar service.

We prefer to stay in a Disney hotel the first night and move to our regular room or start our package the next day. This way we can check in really early the next morning and start our day.

Disney will transfer your luggage for you.

If you don't want to rent a car, a towncar would be a good choice. They would take your luggage with you.

I think the Sanford area motels tend to be higher than those closer to Disney. I'd drive on down to Orlando.

Call the Holiday Inn Express in Sanford. New hotel on Orlando Drive 5 minutes from the airport. They have a shuttle until 2130h. 407-320-0845.
