We have a new airline beginning in our area with greats deals to Orlando. However, it flies into Sanford airport. Any tips for transportation from Sanford? I am very familiar with MCO and the Magical Express, but this introductory rate from Allegiant is almost too good to turn down. There will just be 2 of us needing a lift to POFQ. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Thanks.

I know that back when Allegiant was flying from our area, into Sanford, they had a shuttle to WDW that you could book...think it was something like $25 pp, but I'm not sure. It was on their website when you booked your flights.
I did fly into Sanford on PanAm waaaay back, in '01. It was a terrific airport to fly into...much more managable than MCO. We reserved a private van to take the 6 of us to POR. It was in the neighborhood of $200, plus tip. They actually showed up in a limo instead...nice surprise.

They have Mears Taxi at the Sanford Airport, but they run on a meter and would cost you around $110.00 each way to Disney. There is a shuttle service but it is only open when international flights are coming in. Supposedly they only take the pre-paid rides. The car service is the best bet. It will cost you around $200.00 round trip and will stop to pick up groceries if requested. Ask for a grocery stop ahead of time or they will try to charge you if you don't request it. There are several companies and sites that have been listed on the Disboards for picking up in Sanford. They also have rental cars.
