i answered 2 posts for you tonight this and the sanford hotel 1, we fly from abe(allentown) to Sanford all the time. i have a couple of hints about Sanford it's very small, not like Philly, land follow the crowds down the escalator and leave your party at the luggage belt, since you have kids let them stay there get 1 of the luggage carts and let 1 person go to rent the car, the line will get long if you wait till the lugggage comes off the belt, if you use Dollar (we do), (i rent the smallest i need and then get a upgrade if i want it), it's close, just follow the sign sometimes the inside terminal is closed but you just walk outside and there is another counter. register and get your key then go back and pick up the kids and the luggage. then off to the car/ it's pretty deserted out there, i'm sure there is a hotel there somewhere but we really just go to disney, use marys site http://www.mousesavers.com/rentalcar.html
to get all the codes you need check them all the time they go down almost weekly,no charge for changing the ressie(dollar)
any other ?
eagle fan? maybe
I'm looking for a Sanford car rental in February, too. Dollar's KISS2 expires at 12/31/06, so it won't give a rate. I'm guessing there will be more discounts coming later this year for February. The Mousesavers website is enormously helpful in providing all the codes, etc.
In July, we rented from Alamo at SFB and got a 9 day rental for $154. I'll be watching Alamo, National, and Dollar for February. Hopefully we'll both find something soon so we can quit thinking about it!
I booked with Dollar today. I got a rate of $264 for an 8 day Intermediate rental (1 week plus 1 day). It's more than my July Alamo rental, but a lot better than what I was finding for Alamo and National (both of which were in the $350 plus range). I'll continue checking for lower rates, but this was the last part of my itinerary and I like having everything nailed down.
There is a Magic Card code that is noted on Mousesavers.com. It wouldn't work for me. I was, however, able to get a city specific code (635) while checking Dollar on-line. It brought the rate down about $15.
